Inspire Awards 2024: Manak Scheme Nomination, Check Last Dates

Inspire awards were launched for Indian students who are interested in science and technology. This scheme is for students between the ages of 10 and 32 in 5 different components. Registration for this scheme is available on the official website of the Department of Science and Technology. All the students who want to participate in this scheme can fill out the application form on the official website before the last date. What Is Inspire Awards 2024?

Inspire Awards was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister on 13th December 2008 and it was implemented in the year 2009 the department of science and Technology under the Government of India has been running the Inspire Awards since then. This scholarship cover is provided for students between the ages of 10 and 32 in 5 different components. The Inspire awards are presented to help the proper development of Technical premises inside the minds of the students who are desperately interested in becoming the next big thing in the Science and Technology field. The schools will register themselves on the official website in order to help the candidates to apply for the award.

Components Of Inspire Awards

The following are the components of the Inspire Awards:-

• Inspire award for class 6 to 10th age 10 to 15 years.
• Inspire internship for 16 to 17 years of age.
• Inspire scholarships for UG and PG. For people between 17 to 22 years of age.
• Inspire Fellowship for Ph.D. students between 22 to 27 years of age.
• Inspire faculty for 27 to 32 years of age.

Objective Of Inspire Awards

Inspire Awards Manak is an initiative to foster a culture of motivation and to induce creative thinking among school students so that they can address societal needs through science and Technology. The objective is to provide a proper opportunity for the students of standards 6 to 10th in order to help them develop various strengthening skills. 1 million original Technology cal ideas are rooted through the development of this scheme presented by the inspiring awards and it is also a support system for the startup culture that is developing in the country. The students will be provided rupees 10000 and then they will be provided with an opportunity to work for various development awards available in our country. The students will be selected through various tests and they can register themselves at the official portal also.

Award Details

The following awards will be available to the beneficiaries of the skin

• The applicant will be provided 10000 Rupees and mentoring and fund support for prototype development to 1000 students shortlisted after the selection.
• 1000 Prototype Models/Projects will participate at the Annual National Level
• Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) to be organized by DST.
• The jury would shortlist the top 60 Models/Projects for National Awards and future ideation.
• The top 60 Models/Projects will be selected for National Awards and the top three (3) will be given National Awards (Gold / Silver / Bronze medals).
• The top 60 National winners will also participate in the Festival of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
• The projects having the potential for Product/Process development will be further supported for commercialization.
• The projects having the possibility of filing patents will be supported by the NIF/TIFAC.
• Every year selected students will also be sent to Japan under Sakura Exchange Program by DST

Eligibility Criteria 

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the inspire awards:-

• Individual students (not groups) of classes 6 to 10 from all recognized schools, government or private, aided or unaided, from any National or State Education Board, may submit their original and innovative ideas in any one of the 22 languages from the 8th schedule of constitution to their school.

Implementation Of Inspire Awards 

The scheme will be implemented by following the following implementation procedure set up by the organization:-

• Awareness and capacity building of District, State, and School level functionaries across the country through regional workshops, audiovisual tools, and literature.
• Organizing internal competitions in schools and nominations of two to three best original ideas, in any Indian language, by respective the Principal/Headmaster online through the E-MIAS (E-Management of INSPIRE Award Scheme) portal 
• The new schools may also register themselves on the E-MIAS portal.
• Shortlisting of the top 100,000 (one lakh) ideas, with the potential to address societal needs through Science & Technology, by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF).
• Disbursement of INSPIRE Award of INR 10,000 into bank accounts of students through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme 
• The organization of District Level Exhibition and Project Competition (DLEPC) by district/State authorities and shortlisting of 10,000 best ideas/innovations for State Level Exhibition and Project Competitions.
• State Level Exhibition & Project Competition (SLEPC) for further shortlisting of the top 1,000 ideas/innovations. At this stage, NIF will provide Mentoring support to students for the development of prototypes at the State level by NIF, in coordination with reputed academic and technology institutions in the country for the development of prototypes.
• Selection of ideas/innovations will be based on novelty, social applicability, environment friendliness, user-friendliness, and comparative advantage over the existing similar technologies.
• Showcasing 1,000 best ideas/innovations at the National Level Exhibition & Project Competition (NLEPC) and shortlisting of top 60 prototypes/innovations for national awards and future direction.
• Consideration of the top 60 ideas by NIF for product/process development and Connecting them with other schemes of NIF/DST and display of top innovations at the annual Festival of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (FINE)

• A drop-down menu will open on your screen 
• You have to click on the option called to check your application number and email ID

• Select your details and enter the state to check your details.

• You have to click on the option called Application Information

• A new page will open on your screen where you will have to select your application type.
• Enter your application number or Email ID
• Enter the code.
• Click on search to search the information.

Payment Status

If you want to check your payment status then you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• You have to click on the option called Payment Status

• Enter your reference number and the details will open on your screen.

• Four options will open on your screen such as-

• Enter the username and password.
• Click on login to successfully log in.

Inspire Awards Application Procedure

To apply for the inspire award you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• the home page will open on your screen 
• You have to School Authority and do ONE TIME Registration 

• After Registration, you will get the Application Number and when District Authority will approve, you will get the User ID and Password.
• Now go to School Authority and log in.
