Legislative assistance to members of parliament fellowship has been launched by PRS legislative research. Through this scheme, the organization is going to provide guidance to those students who are pursuing their education in the field of law. Under Lamp Fellowship, students will be able to get the opportunity to be mentored by a member of parliament for a period of 10 to 11 months. The fellows will get the opportunity to engage with experts from various sectors and understand important policies. Under this scheme, the fellows will provide research support to the member of parliament. The research topics for the fellows will be defense, food security, environment, economics, and foreign affairs. Objective of Lamp Fellowship 2024

• The main objective of Lamp Fellowship is to provide guidance to the students

Under the lamp fellowship, students will be able to work directly with a member of parliament for 11 months, subject to the parliamentary calendar. Under this fellowship scheme, the primary task of the beneficiary involved providing research support to the member of parliament. Lamp fellows will also get constituency-related work which is subject to agreement between a member of parliament and the fellow. Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of India
• The student must have at least a bachelor’s degree in the academic discipline
• The age of the applicant should be at least 25 years

• Starting date of application- November 2023
• Last date to apply- December 2023

Reward Details 

• Applicants will get a chance to work with members of parliaments for a period of 10 to 11 months
