- The beneficiary’s husband or wife is also eligible for the scheme and can receive a separate pension of Rs.3000/- by contributing separately to the Fund.
- If the recipient dies before the retirement date, the spouse may continue the plan by contributing the remaining funds. However, if the spouse does not wish to continue, the farmer’s entire contribution, plus interest, will be paid to the spouse.
- When there is no spouse, the applicant will receive the entire contribution, including interest.
- If the farmer dies after his or her retirement date, the spouse will be entitled to half of the pension as a Family Pension. The gathered fund shall be credited back to the Pension Fund upon the death of both the farmer and the spouse.

- The PM-KMY is administered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare’s Department of Agriculture, Cooperation, and Farmers Welfare, in collaboration with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
- For all landholding small and marginal farmers in India, the PM-KMY is a periodic and voluntary investment pension system.
- The LIC is the Pension Fund Manager and is in charge of pension payments under the PM-KMY.
- Under the PM-KMY, the Central Government contributes an equal amount to the pension fund as the eligible farmer does through the Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare.
- Small and marginal farmers have the choice of paying their voluntary contributions to the PM-KMY straight from the PM-KISAN scheme’s financial benefits.

- After that enter the captcha code and click on the generate OTP button
- Once you will click on the generate OTP button, an OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number

- After that an application form will open on the screen
