About SHDF Scholarship (NISHKAM) 2023
SHDF Scholarship (NISHKAM) is an initiative of the Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, New Delhi associated with Sikh Human Development Foundation, U.S.A. Under this scheme, the students of the Sikh community will be benefited. Selected students will get scholarships up to Rs. 33000/- per year. Objective Of SHDF Scholarship
The major objective of the Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, New Delhi behind starting the SHDF Scholarship is to financially support the Sikh students of Punjab state. Moreover, to encourage the Sikh students to pursue professional degree courses who belong to low-income families.
Benefits Of SHDF Scholarship
Students who get selected for the grant of the scholarship will get an amount up to Rs. 33,000/‐ per year for pursuing the Professional Degree/Diploma Courses. To continue the benefits, applicants have to submit a renewal application.
Selection Procedure- New Applicants
Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the following:
- Written exam
- Paper I: Elementary test in Punjabi language
- Paper-II: Religious and Moral studies
- Interview (Date, time, and venue for the interview will be notified later)
Selection Procedure- Renewal Applicants
Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the following:
- The interview will be held for the selection
- The Interview will be held at different centers located in Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Faridkot, Bathinda, Moga, Hoshiarpur, Shahbad, and New Delhi
- The interview date and time will be intimated later on by e-mail
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be pursuing a professional diploma, degree, or postgraduate courses from a recognized university/ institute
- Applicant must have possessed at least 60% marks in the previous two examinations.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family from all sources should not more than Rs. 2,50,000/-
Documents Required for New Application
- Recent photographs
- Mark sheets of 10th Class Examination, Sr. Secondary Examination & later exam
- DMC /Attested copies of Gazette of professional courses.
- Copies of Fees receipts
- Copy of Death certificate
- Proof of family income
- Photocopy of the front page of the passbook or canceled cheque
- Report from College Authoritiesduly signed by the HEAD OF THE COLLEGE/INSTITUTE with DATE AND COLLEGE STAMP (in prescribed format)
Documents Required for Renewal Application
- DMC/ Self-attested Gazette of last 2 Semesters or 1 year of college education Examinations
- Fees receipts for the amount paid to college/institute for the last year.
- Copy of Death certificate(s), if father/mother is not alive.
- Photocopy of the front page of the passbook or canceled cheque leaflet having your name on the cheque.
- Report from College Authorities duly signed by the HEAD OF THE COLLEGE/INSTITUTE with DATE AND COLLEGE STAMP (in prescribed format)
- Recent photographs
- Proof of family income (both parents)
