Objective Of Telangana CM Dalit Bandhu Scheme
The main objective of the Chief Minister of Telangana behind starting the Dalit Bandhu scheme is to empower Dalit families and enable entrepreneurship among them. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide direct benefits of rupees 10 lahks per family.
Implementation of Dalit Bandhu
By the end of March 2020, the government is expecting to pay cash through direct benefit transfers to about 40,000 Dalit families. The implementation of the scheme has been started in huzurabad assembly constituency in c in August 2021. Beneficiaries have been shortlisted by the district collector in consultation with the local MLA. In the pilot face the following number of Dalit families is going to be included:
- Huzurabad Mandal – 5323 Dalit families
- Kamalapur Mandal – 4346 families
- Veenavanka Mandal – 3678 families
- Jammikunta Mandal – 4996 Dalit families
- Illanthakunta Mandal – 2586 families
