Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme 2023

Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Karnataka SM Krishna. The scheme was launched for the first time in the year 2003 on 1st June. This scheme is beneficial for the farmers who are members of a cooperative society. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will get health insurance protection for 823 types of surgical procedures. This scheme covers 30 districts of the state. The scheme is managed by the yashaswini cooperative farmer healthcare trust. The scheme is beneficial for about 30 lakh people of the state. To get the benefits applicants have to submit an annual premium of Rs. 250 only.

Objective Of Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme

The major objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to provide free medical treatment to the farmers who are members of State cooperative societies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Karnataka
  • The age of the applicants should not be more than 75 years
  • Applicant should be a member of a cooperative society at least for 3 months
  • Family members of the scheme holder who is the part of the cooperative society for at least three months can avail the benefits of the policy even if they are not a part of the cooperative society.

Benefits Of Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme

Beneficiaries of the scheme will get health insurance coverage. A rural area beneficiary can avail of free medical surgery costing up to rupees 1.25 lakh and 200000. A beneficiary from the urban area can claim treatment up to rupees 1.75 lakh for single admission and 2.50 lakh for multiple hospitalizations. This Kim covers 823 surgical procedures under three categories normal delivery neonatal care and angioplasty procedure.

To get the benefits of this scheme applicant should be a member of a cooperative society. Cooperative societies will submit their enrollments of new members under the scheme from May to June every year.

Procedure to Claim Health Insurance

  • To claim health insurance beneficiaries need to visit the nearest authorized network hospital to get the treatment
  • The medical coordinator is going to examine the required documents for the health card
  • Applicants have to submit an enrollment fee for pre-diagnosis and other medical tests
  • Depending on the test a pre-authorization request is sent to the management support service provider
  • After verifying the request cashless approval is given as per the terms and conditions of the scheme
  • Hospital authorities will forward the bill discharge summary and other documents to the MSP for settlement
