About Open Merit Scholarship Maharashtra 2024

Open Merit Scholarship Maharashtra has been launched by the government of the state to encourage students for further studies. Under this scholarship, financial help will be provided to the students belonging to backward families of the state. Students under this scholarship will get INR 500 per annum. This scholarship will help the financially backward student to continue their education without worrying about financial problems. To apply for this scholarship the applicant must belong to financially backward families. Only the student who has completed their class 11th or 12th with at least 60% of marks are eligible to apply under this scholarship

Benefits Of Open Merit Scholarship Maharashtra

Beneficiaries who get selected for the scholarship scheme will get an annual scholarship of rupees 500 per year for studying in classes 11^th and 12^th.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant should be studying in class 11^th or 12^th
• Applicant must have secured at least 60% marks in the 10th standard examination on the first attempt
• The scholarship will continue only if the student secures at least 50% marks at the end of the first year of the junior college beneficiary category- all categories

Selection Procedure

Selection of the students for the open merit scholarship in junior College will be made on the basis of their academic marks in the qualifying examination.

• To apply for the scholarship, you have to visit the Open Merit website of the Maharashtra government scholarship portal

• From home page of the portal, you have to go to the new applicant registration option

• Application form will open on the screen where you have to enter the ask details like

  • Email ID and select get OTP for email ID verification
  • You will receive an email entering the OTP you received
  • Mobile number
  • Select get OTP for mobile number
  • You will receive an SMS, enter the OTP you received
• Now hit the register button to complete the registration process
• Log in with the portal by using your registration id and password
• Now choose the scheme name for which you desire to apply
• The form will open on the computer screen, mention all the necessary details as asked in the form
• Attach the significant documents as required
• Review the complete filled application and submit it
• Take the print of it for further use if required
