About Vidya Samunnathi Scholarship 2024

Kerala state welfare Corporation has created a new scheme known as the Samunnathi Scholarship to provide empowerment among the backward categories of the state. The main aim of launching the Samunnathi Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the children of the people belonging to the economically backward section for a better future. With the help of this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the student by the state government to the forwarding communities so as to create encouragement and development for the non-reservation forward community. Objective Of Samunnathi Scholarship

As we all know students belonging to the backward and reserved categories are not given preference for further studies and this creates the un development of their society. By keeping this in mind the state government of Kerala has created a new scheme known as Samunnathi Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the economically backward section of forwarding communities so as to improve their educational status, living conditions, and livelihoods. The main objective of this scheme is to create empowerment and comprehensive development among the nonreservation-forward communities for a better future.

Schedule Of Scholarship

All the selected students who want to apply under the Samunnathi Scholarship will have to submit the application form before the last date i.e. 30th October 2021. This scholarship is open only for the meritorious and deserving candidates of Kerala who belong to the economically weaker section of the forwarding communities in Kerala state. This opportunity will help financially weaker nonreservation-forward community students to complete their higher education so as to improve their standard of living and education status.

Rewards Under Samunnathi Scholarship List

High school level	Rs. 2000 per annum will be provided to around 22000 students each year
Higher secondary level	Rs. 3000 per annum will be provided to around 14000 students each year
Non-Professional Graduation level	Rs. 5000 per annum will be provided to around 5000 students each year
Diploma/ Certificate	Rs. 6000 per annum will be provided to around 1000 students per year
Nonprofessional Post graduation level	Rs. 6000 per annum will be provided to around 2000 students each year
Professional graduation level	Rs. 7000 per annum will be provided to around 3000 students each year
Professional post-graduation level	Rs. 8000 per annum will be provided to around 1250 students each year
CA/ CS/ ICWA	Rs. 10,000 per annum will be provided to around 100 students each year
National Institute level	Rs. 50,000 per annum will be provided to around 120 students each year

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are required to avail of the benefit under Samunnathi Scholarship

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Kerala
• An applicant must belong to a non-reservation forward community
• The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 2 lakh per annum
• Students who have applied for this scholarship the previous year are not eligible to apply for this scheme during the current year
• The candidate must choose their coaching centers to apply for the scholarship

Coaching Assistance Under Samunnathi Scholarship

The following coaching assistance will be provided to the selected Scholars under Samunnathi Scholarship

• Financial support will be provided to the selected students of the state
• The candidate pursuing professional courses such as Civil Service, Banking, PSC Coaching, Medical, Engineering Entrance Coaching, etc
• 840 students will be rewarded with Rs. 10,000 are pursuing higher secondary education
• Students pursuing professional courses like medical and engineering
• Candidates who want to Perceive the competitive exams of bank UPSC MPSC will be rewarded with the financial assistance of Rs. 6,000
• Rs. 15,000 will be rewarded for the preliminary examination
• Rs. 25,000 will be rewarded for the main exams
• Rs. 30,000 will be rewarded for the interview
