The Government of India’s Ministry of Education established the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies 2024. When the program was first introduced, it had the goal to give financially disadvantaged students financial help. The students from poor and needy families will have the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies in India. Under the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies 2024, 10,000 National Scholarships, with the award of Rs. 15,000/- per year will be given. What is the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies?
UGC offers several educational welfare programs, one of which is the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies. Students who wish to finish their postgraduate studies in India are the primary people for this scholarship programme. Selected candidates under the Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies will get a monthly scholarship. Through the National Scholarship for Post Graduate, UGC will provide scholarships worth Rs. 15,000/-per month for a maximum of two years. There will only be 10 months of scholarship available under this program per year. Only those enrolled in their first year of a post-graduate program are eligible for this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
- the student should have Indian nationality.
- enter a recognized Indian university, college, or other establishment and be accepted into the first year of the postgraduate degree program.
- be under 30 years old on the day they are admitted to their first semester or year of graduate school.
- earn less than ₹2,50,000 annually as a family from all sources.

Financial Assistance
- Through the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies, UGC will provide scholarships worth Rs. 15,000/-per month for a maximum of two years.
Selection Process
- The scholars will be selected on the basis of the merit of candidates except in case of single/twin/fraternal girl child.
National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies Apply Online 2024
Step 1: Go to the official website, look for UGC schemes, choose NSPG, and click the “Apply Now” button.
Step 2: Select the ‘Register’ option and enter the necessary registration information. If you have already registered, please sign in using your Gmail address, phone number, or email ID.
Step 3; Proceed to ‘Applicant Corner’ and select the ‘New Registration’ link.
Step 4: Carefully review the information, select the checkbox, and press the “Continue” button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP, captcha code, and mobile number, then click “Submit.”
Step 6: To finish the registration procedure, fill all the necessary information and click “Save & Register.”
Step 7: Select the ‘Fresh Application’ option and enter your application ID and password to log in.
Step 8: Completely enter the essential information, upload the appropriate files, and submit the application.
