Objectives Of Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities

The Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities opportunity which is presented by the Indian Government for physically disabled candidates will help them to recognize the various educational opportunities provided to them. PWD candidates are not able to take scholarship opportunities due to the differences that they have to face. All of the physically disabled candidates can now apply for the scholarship opportunities presented at the official National scholarship portal and they will be eligible to kick-start their careers without any problem.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for this scheme:-

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
• 50% of the total scholarships available each year for top-class education shall be reserved for girl candidates. However, in case an adequate number of girl candidates are not available or are not found eligible as per the terms and conditions of the scheme, the unutilized slots can be utilized by selecting suitable male candidates.
• The applicant must be pursuing studies at graduate/postgraduate degree/diploma level in notified institutions of excellence in education
• He/She must have more than 40% disability and a valid certificate for the same
• The applicant must have an annual family income of less than INR 6,00,000

Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities Rewards Details

The following rewards will be provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme:-

• Reimbursement of tuition fees and non-refundable charges paid/payable to the institute: Up to INR 2 Lakhs per annum (subject to actual amount)
• Maintenance allowance for hostellers: INR 3,000 per month
• Reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of a computer with accessories: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
• Reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of Aids and Assistive Devices: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
• Maintenance allowance for day scholars: INR 1,500 per month
• Book grant (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 5,000 per annum
• Special allowances: INR 2,000 per month

To apply for the scholarship we will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• First, go to the official website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
• The homepage will open on your screen.

• Click on the option called New Registration
• The instructions will open on your screen.
• Tick mark the declaration.
• Click on the “Continue” option.

• Enter all of the details, name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
• Enter the captcha code

• Now you have to log in using your credentials.
• Click on the option called Application Form

Terms And Conditions

You must follow the following terms and conditions to apply for this scholarship:-

• The scholarship can be given to a maximum of two children of the same family (admissible if the second child is a twin)
• Scholarships for studying in any class will be given only for one year. On repeating the class, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
• 50% of the total scholarships will be reserved for girl candidates.

The candidates will have to go to the following selection procedure in order to be eligible for this scholarship:-

• The department concerned will be announcing the details of the scheme and the advertisement will be released in the leading newspapers through which the candidates will be able to apply for this scheme.
