The Government of Kerala has launched an Aspire Scholarship to the Students of the state to provide educational opportunities to the students. Under this scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to the student so that they can continue their education without worrying about any financial problems. About Aspire Scholarship 2024

Aspire Scholarship Program is the most prestigious scholarship program which is available by the Government of Kerala and various teaching departments present in Kerala state. This scholarship will be provided to the students who are currently pursuing post-graduation or Ph.D. degrees from affiliated colleges of the University Of Kerala. The selected candidates will be getting 8000 per month and 10000 per month, especially for the people doing internships outside Kerala state. Benefits Of Aspire Scholarship

The following benefits will be provided to the candidates in this scholarship:-

• The monthly scholarship rate in the state is Rs. 8,000/- and for internships undertaken outside the state will be Rs. 10,000/-. The distribution of the scholarships shall be in the ratio of 2:3:5 for P.G., M.Phil and Ph.D. Courses respectively.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• Only P.G./M.Phil/Ph.D students of Kerala University Departments and Affiliated Colleges can apply.
• The internship/project is to work out with the support and supervision of the scholar/guide in the host institution who has consented to guide the candidate. A sanction letter and Facility Certificate from the host institution and No Objection Certificate from the parent Department/College should be submitted by the candidate along with three copies of the project proposal not exceeding 1 or 1 ½ pages.
• The Research plan/Abstract submitted should not reveal the identity of the candidate.
• Only the best proposals should be submitted to the University after the preliminary screening of the same by the Department Council in the concerned University Department/College, and duly recommended by the Head of the Department/Principal. The period/duration to be taken for completion of the project should be specified in the proposal. The proposals received in the University will be given for evaluation by experts in the respective area who will specifically state whether they recommend the proposal or not. The final selection will be done by a University level Committee.
• The parent Institution should ensure that the student gets attendance of the minimum required a number of days for the particular course. The work done at the host institute may be treated as a part of the coursework for this purpose.
• The scholarship is awarded to a candidate only once during a particular course tenure.
• Inter-Departmental projects and projects are undertaken in affiliated colleges as host institutes are not encourage.
• Project proposals with IDE and private Institutions as Host Institutes are to be rejected but deemed Universities can also be chosen as the Host Institutes.

Documents Required

The following documents are require in this scholarship:-

• The applicant will have to upload a synopsis, not exceeding 2 pages, of the proposed work.
• The Registration print out with the passport-size photo of the applicant
• Self-attested copy of the marksheet of the qualifying examination
• Self-attested copy of the first page of SSLC and mark sheet of SSLC
• A consent letter from the guide of the institution where the internship for the project work is propose to be conduct
• The first page of the passbook of the bank account of the applicant showing the name and the account number and various details related to the bank

Aspire Scholarship Selection Criteria

The applicant will have to go to the following selection criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• The application will be verified and approved by the principal of the institution.
• The application submit will be examined by an expert panel and a list of students selected will be uploaded on the official website of the scholarship within two weeks of the application submission.
• The intimation will give by email and SMS to the selected beneficiaries and to the concerned institutions.
• This scholarship will release to the bank account of the applicant in respect of the report of joining the host institution after getting relieve from the parent institution.
