The main objective of the IIT Madras & Sutherland Scholarship presented by IIT Madras is to provide proper opportunities related to 10000 students who will be coming from the economically weaker section of society. This initiative is presented in order to provide proper opportunities to the students who belong to the EWS category. The students will be provided with opportunities through which they will be able to learn more about technology development in the country. The cost of the online classes will be reduced by 50% for the beneficiaries who will be selected by IIT Madras.
