What Is Kanyashree Scholarship K2 2024?

Kanyashree Scholarship 2024 is created by the government of West Bengal state, especially for the girl child of the society. Kanyashree Scholarship Beneficiaries Details

The following people will be selected in this scheme:-

• Approximately 3.5 lakh girls for one time grant each year in West Bengal
• For the one-time grant, girls who are completing 18 years on or after 1st April 2020
• Girls regularly attend institutions for education or vocational/sports training
• Approximately 18 lakh female students for an annual scholarship each year
• Girl children within the age of 13 to 19 years from families with annual income up to Rs 1,20,000/-
• Girls of Child Care Institutes registered under the J.J. Act within the age of 18-19 years

Type of Schemes

The following scholarships will be provided in this scheme:-

Scholarship Scheme	Details
Annual scholarship (K1 Level)	Under this scheme, female students between the age of 13 and 17 years 11 months will be provided with a scholarship every year. This is a State Government initiative and a method to ensure that the girls remain unmarried and study in school until they reach the legal marriage age
One-Time Grant (K2 Level)	Under this scheme, female students between the age of 18 and 19 will be provided with a one-time grant (financial funding).
Kanyashree Scholarship (K3 Level)	Under this scholarship scheme, female students from both Arts and Science backgrounds can avail of financial help on a monthly basis.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant will have to follow the following eligibility criteria in this scholarship:-

Scholarship Scheme	Eligibility Criteria
Annual scholarship (K1 Level)	The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal 2. She should be unmarried 3. Student’s family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per year 4. The student should be between 13 and 17 years of age 5. The female student must not turn 18 as this would make her ineligible for yearly scholarship benefits, and she would only be able to get a one-time benefit 6. The female student must be enrolled between class 8 to 12th standard in Government recognized regular or equivalent school or equivalent vocational or any other technical training courses 7. The family income limit will be varied under the following situations: The student is already a recipient of the scholarship and will be applying for a renewal of the  benefit students parents (both father & mother) are the deceased student is physically handicapped
One Time Grant (K2 Level)	The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal She should be unmarried upon attaining the age of 18 Students’ family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per year The applicant female student should be enrolled and regularly attending an Institution of Higher Education or Training The female applicant’s family income criteria can be varied only under the following cases: Student’s parents (both father & mother) are deceased student is physically handicapped
Kanyashree Scholarship (K3 Level)	Only the students registered for the K2 scheme would be eligible for the K3 scheme There is no maximum age limit to apply The student must have passed an undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks They must have taken admission in any postgraduate course at any University

Scholarship Rewards

The following rewards will be given in this scholarship:-

Type of Kanyashree Applications

• Fresh K1: Annual scholarship application form printed on light green paper.
• Fresh K2: One-time grant application forms printed on light blue paper is called K2.
• Renewal: girls who have received at least a one-time grant and are still below 18 need not apply for renewal.
• Up-Gradation: girls who have received at least a one-time grant and are above 28 have to submit a K2 application form again for renewal.

Kanyashree Plus

Providing monetary help to the girls is not enough to protect them from social evils like perpetuating child marriage and gender-based discrimination. To change the societal norms and structural barriers full-fledged Cash Plus program called Kanyashree Plus has been formed. Kanyashree Plus is a program that has been built with the motive to work on knowledge skills and attitudes for social transformation along with empowering adolescent girls. Under Kanyashree plus, in approximately 12,000 schools and 116776 community hubs, girls’ groups have been formed which cover 78.81 lakh, adolescent girls. These groups are called Kanyashree groups having leaders who are trained in participatory training methodologies and topics of interest. Not only that to sustain the well-being of adolescent girl government outreach workers seek to influence parents and siblings, other youth groups, community influencers, especially religious leaders and local government administrators as well.

Application Procedure Under Kanyashree Scholarship

The application procedure to apply for the scholarship is given below:-

• First, go to the Kanyashree website.

• Click on the Registration button.

• Tick the checkbox ‘This is to declare that I have read the instructions properly and I agree to abide by them.’
• Click on Proceed
• A popup will appear requesting the minority students applying for fresh scholarships or renewal to apply in the following Portal
• Click on the Close button
• Enter all of the details
• The username and password will be generated
• Click on the Login tab
• Enter the applicant ID and password
• Click on the Submit button
• The account dashboard will be displayed on your screen
• Click on Edit Profile/Application tab
• Fill out the application form with basic details, qualifying exams, present course, address of the present institution
• Upload your scanned photograph and signature
• Click on Save & Continue
• Submit your bank details with Name of Bank, IFSC Code, Branch Code, Account Number, MICR Code.
• Click on Submit Application tab after uploading the required documents

Track Application Status

To check your application status you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• First, go to the official website of the Kanyashree Scholarship.
• The homepage will be displayed on your screen
• Click on the Track Application option

• A new page will be displayed on your screen
• Select the year and the type of scheme from the drop-down menu
• Enter the Date of Birth, Application ID, and the CAPTCHA image
• Click on the Submit button

Lodge Grievance

If you want to file a complaint follow the following procedure:-

• Click on show
