What Is PRERANA Scholarship 2024?

To help the meritorious students belonging to financially backward families the Government of Odisha has launched the PRERANA Scholarship. Under this scheme, the selected candidates will get financial assistance from the authorities. This scholarship will help financially backward students to continue their education without worrying about any financial hurdles. Odisha PRERANA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in this scholarship:-

Post-matric Scholarship for SC	The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The applicant must be continuing his/her post-matriculation studies in any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. The applicant must be studying in a government or government-recognized private institution.
Post-matric Scholarship for ST	The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The applicant must be studying post-matriculation studies in any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. The student must be pursuing studies in a government or government-recognized private institution.
Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC	The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than INR 1 Lakh. The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous exam. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The applicant must be continuing his/her post-matriculation studies in any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. The applicant must be studying in a government or private institution.
Post-matric Scholarship for EBC	The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant must be continuing his/her higher studies from a government institution only. The candidate must be pursuing any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. This scholarship scheme is only applicable to the EBC of the General category.

Terms & Conditions

You must follow the following conditions to apply for the scholarship:-

• The candidates applying for scholarships must provide the correct bank account number which should be in the name of the applicant.
• Applicants must keep their application ID and password confidential as the application contains sensitive information about the applicant.
• Applicants must provide correct information while filling out the form because incorrect information will lead to rejection and appropriate legal action may be taken against him/them.
• Institution-wise applications will be processed on a first-come-first-serve basis for early disbursement of the scholarship.
• If the candidate is renewing his/her scholarship application for the same course, he/she need not provide income and caste certificates again.
• Candidates must be ready with their roll number, year of passing & name of the board of matric exam at the time of online registration.

• Matriculation passing certificate/ marks card
• Graduation certificate/ marks card if applying for a Postgraduate scholarship
