Acceleration Vigyan Scheme 2023 is created in order to provide proper opportunities related to the research and development programme available in India. What is the ABHYAAS Program?
Abhyas program is one of the part of this prestigious scheme created by the Indian Government and it is an attempt to boost the research and development in the country where the students who are pursuing PhD and PG courses will be supported. The students who are in their fourth year of UG courses will also be provided proper opportunities through this prestigious program created by the organization. There are two components that are available in the abhyas program which are known as the Kaaryashala and Vritika. Both of these components will be focusing on researchers who do not have proper opportunities to continue their research services and they will be provided with the opportunities to help them continue their education as well as research.
What is KAARYASHALA Training and Skill Internship?
The Karyshala program is one of the most important initiatives that is presented by this scheme under the Abhyas Foundation. This is an effort that will improve the research productivity of the people who are currently in their PG and Ph.D. courses from different schools and Universities which are available in India. There will be high-end workshops available on specific themes through the development of this component of the scheme. This program will provide opportunities so that people can get specialized research skills. There will be workshops in the organization that will help in the development of research resources. These workshops will primarily be facilitated at organizations/institutions/laboratories of national importance such as IITs, IISc, IISERs, NITs, CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, etc.
What is the VRITIKA Program?
Vritika program is created in order to provide training and skill internships to all of the people who are interested in pursuing research courses in India. You will be provided with the opportunity to continue your education as well as get experience. The program will be providing opportunities to the people who are pursuing PG courses from Universities and colleges and they will be getting exposure so that they can continue their research skill development program also. The internship is provided for the people who are doing really well in their Academics and they want to continue getting experience in the prescribed field. The program is available for four weeks.

Eligibility Criteria
- Faculty or Scientists working in Central institutions of higher learning and research such as IITs, IISc, IISERs, NITs, and other institutions and laboratories of eminence like CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, etc. are invited as Event Organizers (EO) for organizing High-End Workshops (“KAARYASHALA”) and training and Skill Internship (“VRITIKA”).
- For Kaaryashala, the duration will be at least one week but not more than 2 weeks per workshop.
- For Vritika, the duration will be at least 4 weeks but not exceeding 2 months per intern.

Reward Details
- A consolidated amount for daily necessary expenses such as TA, stationary, consumables, accommodation, food etc. for the initiative of the participating students will be provided through the institutes of EO.
Selection Process
- The selection of the eligible students for High-End Workshops will be done based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee constituted for this purpose by the host institutions.
- The students will be selected on the basis of their academic performance.

The period of the Training and Skill Internship shall be at least 4 weeks but not exceeding 2 months.
What documents should be submitted with the application for Accelerate Vigyan Scheme 2023?
The following mandatory documents are to be submitted/uploaded with the application: An endorsement letter duly signed and stamped by the competent authority of the host institute, a Certificate from the Event Organizer, A short summary (Program Details) of the planned research work for the intern(s), and other technical details.
The selection will be done based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee constituted for this purpose by the host institutions.
No, the internship will be on an unpaid basis. However, support for daily necessary expenses such as accommodation, food etc. including TA will be provided to the interns, through the organizers.
