The Government of Kerala has launched the Ayyankali Scholarship. Under this scholarship scheme, financial assistance will be provided to students who belong to the scheduled caste category. The government is going to provide financial assistance of Rs 4500 per year to students up to class 10th based on marks obtained in class 4th and 7th. Those citizens who want to benefit of this scheme can submit their application to the district development officer for SC along with a caste certificate, income certificate, and grade certificate. To get benefit of this scheme the annual family income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs 1 lakh. Other than that under the scheme financial assistance of Rs 2000 will also be provided for purchasing furniture for study purposes. Those parents whose annual income is less than Rs 12000 will get Rs 100 per month for having nutritional food
