Objective Of Central Sector Scheme

Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship Selection Criteria
The selection procedure of the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is dependent on the merit list that has been allocated by quota. After the selection has been made of the student then it will be sent to the two distinctive levels for further verification such as

Reservation Of Students

Allocation Of Scholarships
The scholarships are divided among the state Education Board that is based on the state population for the age group of 18 to 25 years, after that the share of CBSE and CISC depends on the number of students passing out from the board. Out of that 50 people are reserved for girls. The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship that is allocated to the state Education Board is based on the student pass out in the Science commerce and humanities stream with the ratio of 3:2:1. if there is a shortage of the number of applications then the scholarship will be interchanged
Benefits And Features Of Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship
- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship has been launched by the Department of Higher Education Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India.
- Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to meritorious financially weak students of India.
- This financial assistance will help to meet their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher education.
- The main aim of launching the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a student who is really good at studies
- The scholarship will be provided to the student on the merit basis
- Around 82000 scholarships per annum are awarded for pursuing graduation post-graduation and for professional courses such as Medical and Engineering
- Out of 82000, there are 41000 for boys and 41000 for girls.
- 50%- 50% percent of the scholarships are earmarked for girls and boys
- This scholarship will help in reducing the illiteracy rate in the country.
Eligibility Criteria
- 80% of successful candidates in class 12th are eligible to apply under this scheme
- an applicant must be pursuing a regular course such as medical or engineering from a recognized Institute aur college by AICTE, the dental council of India Medical Council of India
- The annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed more than 8 lakh per annum from all sources.
- Students that are pursuing degree courses through distance for correspondence are not eligible to apply under this scheme
