The Global Schools Foundation has created another very prestigious scholarship which is known as the global sports scholarship in order to support young athletes who do not have proper educational or monetary support to continue sports on a bigger level. Under this GIIS Global Sports Scholarship students will be recognized especially those students who have taken part in various competitions across their state or even their country. The students who have participated in international events will be awarded on the basis of the performance that they have put forward. About Global Indian International School

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be Indian Citizens.
• The applicants must come from a Moderate Income family (with an Annual family income of less than INR 5 Lacs).
• The applicants must have had good academic performance for the past two years.
• The applicants must be affiliated with a Sports Coach or a recognized Sports Body/ Federation/ Academy.
• The applicants must pass a skills test and Interview.
• The applicants must be able to demonstrate strong evidence of future outstanding potential AND
• The applicants must have consistently played for the last 2 years, i.e. represented their country/ state at state OR national, OR international levels in the last 2/3 years and should be within 500 ranks in the national ranking/ within 100 in the state ranking OR 
• The applicants must be members of the winner and runners-up teams and first/second or third position holders in individual events at the State or National level OR
• The applicants must have represented/ winner of sub-junior/ junior/ senior National championships/ games for the last 2 years OR
• The applicants must have outstanding achievement in sports at the international level, minimally at the SEA Games and/or at the other Major Games or equivalent competition OR
• The applicants must be talented players identified in priority sports disciplines at various levels of International/ National or State Level competitions.

Selection Process 

• The students will first have to submit the application form.
• You have to make sure that you are submitting all of your documents with the application form.
• The successful applicants will be notified of their application status via email within 10 working days.
• You have to now sit for the skills assessment test and then one on one interview will be conducted.
• The students will be selected on the basis of their performance in academics and also in the interview.

• You have to read the details related to this scholarship carefully.
• You have to now click on the apply now button.

• A new page will open on your screen.
• You have to fill out the inquiry form displayed on the screen.
• Eligible applicants will be sent an email through which they will be able to access the link to the application form.
• Keep scanned copies of the following ready in advance. You will be required while filling up the application form.
  • Upload the last 2 years’ academic records.
  • Family income documents/ tax assessment (ITR duly acknowledged by IT dept.) for the past two years.
  • Self-Declaration Form for Gross Family Income.
• Fill in all the required details in the application form.
• Upload all the relevant documents and submit your application form. Eligible candidates will be sent a confirmation email.
• The last date to submit the application form for the Scholarship is 30th June 2023
