The residents of the Himachal Pradesh State can apply for this prestigious centralized sponsored scholarship but Himachal Pradesh Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students is only available to candidates who belong to the OBC category. The OBC category candidates can fill out the application form available at the national scholarship portal and the candidates will also have to apply for the scholarship after downloading the official notification and after following the eligibility criteria. The applicants will have to fill out the application form before the last date of 30th November 2022. Benefits Of Himachal Pradesh Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship Scheme
The students will receive the following awards in the Himachal Pradesh Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students 2024:-
- Maintenance allowance of up to INR 750 per month for hostellers and up to INR 350 per month for day scholars
- Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
- Study tour charges of up to INR 900 per annum
- Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1,000
- Additional allowances of up to INR 175 per month for OBC students with disabilities
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in order to successfully apply for this scholarship:-
- The applicant must belong to the OBC community
- The applicant must be a permanent resident/domicile of Himachal Pradesh
- The applicant must be studying at a post-matric or a post-secondary level
- The applicant must have an annual family income of not more than INR 1.5 lakh per annum

- The candidates will first have to visit the Centrally Sponsored Post Matric website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
- The home page will open on your screen.
- Click on the option called New Registration
- The instructions will open on your screen.
- Tick mark the declaration.
- Click on the “Continue” option.
- Enter all of the details.
- Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
- Enter the captcha code
- Click the “Register” option.
- Now you have to log in using your credentials.
- Click on the option called Application Form
- The application form will be displayed on the screen
- Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.

Terms and Conditions
The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions in order to successfully apply for this scholarship:-
- The recipient of this scholarship can not accept any other scholarship or stipend.
- After passing one stage of education, the candidates who are studying in the same stage but in different subjects are not eligible.
- Students who have completed their education in one professional line and want to continue studying for other professions are not eligible.
- Students pursuing postgraduate courses in medicine are eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their course.
- Students who pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible. The term correspondence includes distance and continuing education.
- The candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarships by the State to which they belong.
- The students domiciled in one State/UT but holding an OBC certificate of another State/UT can avail of the scholarship in the State/UT from which the OBC certificate was issued.
