About Kerala Disability Scholarship 2024

The Kerala government has initiated a new order for the physically disabled candidates residing in the Kerala state and through this government order, all of the interested students will be getting financial help so that they can get proper education in the future. You must fill out the application form at least within the first three months of your commitment to the academic year and all of the application forms must be submitted to the concerned District Social Justice Officer. The candidate must also submit a copy of the disability certificate from the medical board with the application form in order to get financial help without any problem or difficulty. You will be able to get most of the information related to the scheme from the official website of the organization.

Eligibility Criteria 

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Kerala disability scholarship:-

• The disability category of students (Blind / Deaf / Orthopedically handicapped/ Mental Retardation) is eligible.
• The disability percentage should be 40 % or more.
• The total annual income of the family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 36,000.
• Those students who have not obtained 40% marks in the examination in the previous year need not apply. 
• In the case of Blind students, Reader’s allowance will be provided.
• The Scholarship Scheme for Disabled Students will be implemented in the Kerala state as mentioned in the government order. 
• Disabled students studying in Schools, Colleges, and those who attend Professional, PG courses and technical training are being given a scholarship by Social Justice Department. 
• The annual family income of the applicant should be below Rs.36,000/- and they should obtain 40% marks in the examination in the previous year. The major objective is to ensure proper education for physically handicapped students so that they can earn their livelihood. 

Assistance Amount 

The applicant will be provided with the following incentive amount if they are registered with the disabilities scholarship:-

Kerala Disability Scholarship 2024 Application Procedure

In order to apply for the scholarship you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• You will first have to visit the Kerala Disability website of the Kerala Social Justice Department website given below 

• The homepage will open on your screen and the list of various types of scholarships will open on your 
• On the homepage, click on the “Schemes” tab present in the main menu.

• Now, click on the “Scholarship for Disabled Students” link present at the 8th number in the list of schemes.
• Now, go to the “Documents” section and click on the “Application Forms – Scholarship for Disabled Students” 

• The Kerala Disability Scholarship Scheme application form PDF will open.
• You have to download the application form in a PDF format
• After downloading, physically handicapped applicants will have to enter the necessary details accurately in the form and submit it to the concerned authorities.
• The applicants must submit the duly filled applications along with supporting documents to the concerned District Social Justice Officers. 
• The officers will be reviewing your application form and then you will be provided with the incentives accordingly.

• On the homepage, click on the “Schemes” tab present in the main menu.

• Now, click on the “Scholarship for Disabled Students” link present at the 8th number in the list of schemes.

• Now, go to the “Target Group” section and click on the “Beneficiary Details” link in front of Differently Abled. 
• Select the financial year and district name to narrow the search in the Scholarship Scheme for Disabled Students district-wise list of beneficiaries.
