About Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities scheme is run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. Under this scheme, all those students who have passed the 10th standard and taken admitted further in any course will get the benefits. Terms & Conditions are detailed below related to the eligibility. Candidates who are suffering from any of the disabilities mentioned here may apply:

Eligibility Criteria

• Aspirants must pass the 10th/ Secondary examination from a school recognized by the state or central board
• Aspirants must have taken admission in 11th/12th/ graduation degree course/ diploma course/ master degree course or certificate courses
• Students who are pursuing L.L.B/B.Ed/B.El.Ed. after B.A./B.Sc./B.E. etc. are eligible
• Family income of the students family should not be more than 2.50 Lakh per annum

Selection Process

A merit list of the candidates will be prepared for the selection of scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:

• Eligibility conditions.

• No. of slots 
• Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam (In case of a tie in marks the percentage of disability will be considered)

How to Apply for Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

• To apply for the scheme, you have to rush to Post Matric Scholarship website of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India 

• From the home page go to the schemes and hit the scholarship option
• Now look for the “Umbrella “Scholarship Scheme for Students with Disabilities” w.e.f. 1st April 2018.” Or directly hit here
• To apply you have to register yourself with National Scholarship Portal
• From the home page, you need to click the “new registration” option
• Read the instructions appear on the screen very carefully

• Tick the checkbox, click the “continue” option and the application form will appear
• Enter the details as asked on the screen and captcha code 
• Click the “Register” option and complete the process
• Now look for the Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities scheme 
• Hit apply option and provide the best information in the form
• Upload the significant documents and submit it
• Must take a hard copy of the application for future use.

Procedure to Know Your Payment Status

• To know your payment information, you have visit official website
• Choose “know your payment” option and enter the asked details likewise Bank, Account no, Confirm account number and Verification code

• Hit search option and information will display on the screen

• Choose “Track NSP payments” option

• Now enter the asked details such as and enter the asked details likewise Bank, Account no or NSP application ID and Verification code

Renewal of Scholarship

• Contenders have to apply for renewal of scholarship every year. 
• In case the applicant is not able to pass his/her academic examination for the first time while pursuing the courses mentioned under Group 1, the scholarship may be renewed but second and subsequent failure are not acceptable and it may lead to let the student bear the expenses his own self until promoted to the next higher class. 
• If the candidate is not able to crack the examination due to illness and or on account of any other unforeseeable event, the award may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of medical certificate

Mode of Disbursement of Scholarship

Disbursement of the scholarship amount will be made through the PFMS system by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The amount will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries.

Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Renewal

• To renew the scholarship scheme, you have to rush to the official website of the nsp portal.
•  The homepage of the website will appear on the screen
• No from the homepage, go to the Login option.
• Select the Renewal Login option along with the new year.
• The renewal login form will open on the screen.
• Enter the login details like the application ID and password.

• Now click on the login option and get successfully logged in.
• After that, the renewal application form will open.
• Provide all the details to be filled in the application form.
• Upload the related document if any.
• Check the details carefully before final submission.
• Now click on the submit option.
• Your application form for scholarship renewal will be submitted successfully.

Update Mobile Number

• To renew the scholarship scheme, you have to rush to the official website of the nsp portal.
•  The homepage of the website will appear on the screen
• No from the homepage, go to the Login option.
• Select the Renewal Login option along with the new year.
• The renewal login page will open on the screen.
• On this page, you have to select the update mobile number option.
• A new page with an application form will open on the screen.
• Enter all the details to be filled in the application form.

• Now check the details carefully before final submission.
• After that, click on the verify and continue option.
• In this way, You can easily update your mobile number

Change Mobile Number

• To renew the scholarship scheme, you have to rush to the official website of the nsp portal.
•  The homepage of the website will appear on the screen
• No from the homepage, go to the Login option.
• Select the Renewal Login option along with the new year.
• The renewal login page will open on the screen.
• Enter the login details to be filled in the application form.
• Now after successful login, click on the Change Mobile Number option.
• A new page with an application form will open.

• Enter the details and click on the Get top option.
• Enter the OTP in the box.
• Now provide the new mobile number and click on the submit option

View Beneficiary List

• To check the beneficiary list of the scholarship scheme, you have to rush to the official website of the nsp portal.
• The homepage of the website will appear on the screen
• No from the homepage, go to the Registration option.
• A new page will open on the screen.
• Select the Scheme wise Scholarship Sanctioned List option.
• A new page with an application form will open.

• Enter the details in the application form.
• Now click on the Submit option.
