About AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2024

Saksham Scholarship Scheme was created to help students suffering from physical disabilities. You can apply for the scholarship by going to the official portal of the scholarship specially created to help the beneficiaries take advantage of the monthly advancements. Monetary benefits of rupees 50,000 will be provided to the selected scholarship students. The beneficiaries can use the portal for applying for the AICTE Saksham Scholarship easily and without any problem. AICTE Saksham Scholarship Latest Updates 

A new deadline has been created by the concerned authorities of the All India Council of technical education in order to help the candidates to apply for the new scholarship of AICTE Saksham Scholarship. The students who are applying for the saksham scholarship can now fill out the application form available till 31st December 2023. It is important for the students to fill out the application form before the last date of the scholarship in order to be eligible for the benefits provided by the organization. Along with the saksham scholarship, other scholarships presented by the organization of AICTE have also been extended. Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in this scholarship:-

Eligibility for Saksham- Degree Level	Differently Abled Students having equal or more than 40% disability. Family income should be less than Rs. 8 Lakhs per Annum. Students Admitted in UG Degree Level Programme/Course in AICTE Approved Institutions. The students admitted in the first year of their Degree Course OR Second year of the Degree course through lateral entry (LE) in any of the AICTE approved Institutions of their respective year. Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 4 years for degrees for first-year admitted students and a maximum of 3 years for Degree students admitted through lateral entry as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, computer purchase, stationery, books, Equipment, Software’s purchase, etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. No gender-related issue is applicable as the scheme is for all

Awards Details

The details of awards for this scholarship are as follows:-

• Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 4 years for a Degree and 3 years for a Diploma for first-year admitted students and a maximum of 3 years for a Degree and 2 years for a Diploma for the second-year admitted students through lateral entry as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, computer purchase, stationery, books, Equipment, Software’s purchase, etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc.
• Amount transfer happens only through the Direct Bank transfer process.

Selection Process

The selection of applicants for the scholarship is done on the basis of Merit of the last qualifying examination to pursue technical education from any AICTE-approved institute.

Renewal Process

You will have to go through the following procedure in order to renew the scholarship:-

• The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal through the National Scholarship Portal by submitting a passing certificate/ mark sheet along with a letter from the Head of the Institution in the online portal.
• Students failing to get promoted to the next class/ level would forfeit the scholarship.
• The candidates will be selected on merit at the qualifying examination to pursue technical education from amongst such candidates. The other criteria are that the candidates should have been admitted to the first year of the Degree or Diploma program in any of the AICTE-approved institutes during the academic year 2014-15 through the centralized admission process of the State/Central Government.
• The last date for submission of the renewal application form is 31st January 2021.

Documents Required

The applicant must have the following documents while applying for this scholarship:-

• Mark sheet of class 10/SSC examination
• Mark sheet of class 12/HSC examination
• Annual income certificate of the family in the prescribed format issued by the Tehsildar or above competent authority
• Admission letter to the first year of degree/diploma course issued by Centralised Admission Authority
• Receipt of tuition fee paid for the academic year
• Scanned copy of duly signed and stamped bank passbook seeded with Aadhaar details showing the name and photograph of the student, IFSC code, and account number
• Applicant’s photograph and signature
• Aadhaar card
• Certificate issued by the Principal/Director/HOD in the prescribed format
• Certificate of disability issued by competent authority as per the format specified by the State Government
• Scanned and attested copy of SC/ST/OBC certificate (applicable for SC, ST, and OBC candidates)
• Duly signed declaration by parents claiming the authenticity of the information provided in the application in the prescribed format

Terms And Conditions

You must follow the following rules in order to apply for the scholarship:-

• Applications will be invited once a year through the National e-Scholarship Portal of the Government of India.
• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Only verified online applications will be considered for the award of a scholarship.
• If a candidate failed/ dropped out in subsequent years, she will not be eligible for further scholarship.
• The scheme will be implemented and monitored by the AICTE.
• For converting CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average ) to the percentage, the multiplying factor will be 9.5 i.e. to convert the CGPA into a percentage, CGPA X 9.5 will give the percentage.
• In case both CGPA & Total marks are given in the mark sheet, total marks will be considered for determining the percentage.
• If grades are given like A1, A2, B1, B2, etc in the mark sheet, first the grades will be converted into CGPA and then the average CGPA will be calculated. This CGPA will be converted into a percentage as given in point No. 2.
• A provisional list of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the AICTE web portal. In case, the candidate has any query about the merit list of scholarships, they may raise their grievances within a month. No query regarding the merit list will be entertained after a one-month duration.
• Query regarding non-payment of the scholarship due to an invalid/wrong account number

To apply for the scholarship you will have to follow the following procedure:-

• First, Go to the AICTE Saksham website

• The homepage will open on your screen
• Click on the ‘New Registration’ button.
• A new page will open on your screen.
• Fill in all required details
• Now, register to create a new profile.
• Now log in using your credentials
• Enter your username and password
• Fill in the scholarship application form with all relevant details.
• Upload all necessary documents
• Finally, submit the application form.

• The homepage of the website will appear on the screen.
• A login form will be there on the screen.
• Enter the login details like email or candidate id and password.
• Now click on the Login option.
