What Is Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024?

To help all the female students who want to pursue their education and technical courses. The All India council for Technical Education has launched the AICTE Pragati scholarship to help the students. All the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form for this scholarship. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the girls students so that they can continue their education without worrying about financial trouble. Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria while applying for the scholarship scheme:-

• The scheme is only applicable to the girl child.
• The candidate should be admitted to the 1st year of the Degree/Diploma course in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year through the Centralized Admission Process of the State/Central Government.
• Only two Girl Children per family are eligible.
• The annual family income must not be more than 8 lakh.
• The selection of the candidate will be made on merit on the basis of the qualifying examination

Rewards Of The Scheme

The following rewards will be provided in this scholarship scheme:-

• Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less.
• Rs.2000/- per month for 10 months as incidental charges each year.
• In the case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, Students are eligible to get a number of Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase of-

  • A fee is paid towards competitive examination application forms/ exams
• The scholarship is reserved in the following manners for the backward caste and category–

Pragati Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the scholarship is as follows:

• The scholarship is also reserved for the backward category students as follows-
  • 15% for Scheduled Caste
  • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe
  • 27% for OBC
• The candidates will be selected based on the merit list prepared to depend upon the marks that the candidates have got in the qualifying examination.

• Now from the homepage, click on the new registration option.
• Read the instructions carefully regarding the scholarship program.
• Agree with the terms and conditions of the scholarship and move forward.
• The registration form will open on the screen.

• Enter all the details to be provided in the application form.

• Finally, click on the Register button.
• Your user ID and password will be sent to your registered email ID.

• The merit list will be displayed on your screen.

Rules For Renewal

You must follow the following rules and regulations in order to successfully renew your scholarship for the second year:-

• All the candidates are required to upload their correct documents. They can upload them by logging in to the portal with their registered user ID and password
• All the documents uploaded by the candidates must be legible
• The documents must be in PDF, JPG, or JPEG format
• If the documents are not uploaded in JPG format then you can try to upload them in PNG or PDF format
• The size of the document should not be more than 2 MB
• Mention the tuition and miscellaneous fees in the space provided
• Upload the tuition fee receipt issued by the institution
• Upload the promotion certificate, tuition fee receipt, and miscellaneous fee receipt along with a renewal form
• Before finally submitting the application the candidates are advised to ensure that the details entered or documents uploaded by them are correct
• After submission, the candidates cannot re-enter any left detail or upload any left document

Pragati Scholarship Renewal Process

To renew your scholarship you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• First, go to the official website of the Pragati Scholarship for Girls.
• The homepage will appear on your screen
• Now you need to enter your email and password
• Successfully, login into the portal
• Click on the option called Renewal Application
• Select your year of application form submission as fresh.

• Now select the Login for Candidate option.
• The application form will appear on your screen
• Fill up all of the details
• Upload the documents
• Successfully, submit the form
• Take a printout of the duly filled application form.
• Submit the application form to your concerned organization.

Terms And Conditions

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to apply for the scholarship:-

• Only first-year students can avail Pragati scholarship
• Passport size photo and signature of the applicant must be uploaded in JPG or JPEG format
• The size of a passport-size photo should not be more than 200 KB and for signature, it should be no more than 50 KB
• Those students who are admitted through the management quota cannot apply for this scholarship
• The applicant is required to have a General savings bank account
• A student who is availing of any other government scholarship cannot avail of this scholarship
• the scholarship amount will be transferred to the candidate’s bank account through direct bank transfer (DBT) mode.
• if there is a non-availability of eligible applicants in any of the degree or diploma level programs then the scholarship for degree and diploma programs can be transferred

Register Grievance

• Open the Centralized Grievance System of AICTE.

• Sign Up with the details or click on the Register Here option if not registered already.
• A new form will open on the screen.

• Enter all the details in the application form.
• Now click on the Submit option.
• Add your grievance on the portal.

Track Grievance

• Open the Centralized Grievance System of AICTE
• Sign Up with the details in the form.
• Now a new page will open where you have to click on the Track Grievance option.
• Enter the application number and date of birth.
• Now click on the Track option.
• Grievance Tracking will be done successfully.

Beneficiary List for Diploma

• First, go to the official website of the Pragati Scholarship for Girls.
• The homepage will be displayed on your screen
• Now you need to go to the student development program.
• Select the scholarship schemes as Pragati.
