What Is Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship 2024?

Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship will be really beneficial for the students who are currently in the first year of their undergraduate or postgraduate courses they are taking from Government aided colleges. The applicant must also belong below the poverty line category to achieve the monetary benefits of this scholarship. Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• The applicant should be a first-year student of Under Graduate or Post Graduate courses in Govt/ Aided colleges or University Departments.
• he/ She should belong to a BPL family, and be a member of a family having income below the poverty line.
• The applicant should have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination

Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship Amount Details

The applicant will be provided the following rewards in this scholarship:-

• The scholarship amount is Rs.10,000/- per year which will be deposited into the Bank Account of the candidates selected.
• The applicant should have a Bank Account in his/her name in the State Bank of Travancore.

Number Of Scholarship

The following scholarships are available in this scheme:-

• The number of Scholarships for each College will be proportional to the number of candidates studying in the college.
• As much as 10% of the Scholarships are earmarked for those belonging to SC/ST categories.
• 10 Scholarships are reserved for those belonging to the PWD category and another 5 for those excelling in Arts/Sports at State/National levels.
• Those in receipt of any other Scholarship are not eligible for this scholarship also.
• However, the Lump-sum Grant received by the SC/ST candidates is exempted for the purpose of this provision.
• The list of candidates eligible for the scholarship in a college prepared by the Head of the Institution as per the approval of the college council, and the related documents should be retailed in the college.

Documents Required for Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship

The following documents are required in this scholarship scheme:-

• Attested copy of mark list of SSLC, attested by a Gazetted Officer
• Attested copy of the first page of the bank passbook in the name of the student, showing account number, name, code, etc attested by a Gazetted Officer
• Nativity Certificate
• Certificate from the Local Body to establish that the applicant belongs to the BPL category
• Income Certificate
• Copy of the Mark list of Qualifying Examination attested by a Gazetted Officer
• Community Certificate for SC/ST applicants
• Documents in support of excellence in Arts/Sports at State/National levels, attested by a Gazetted Officer
• Disability Certificate in case of candidates of the PWD category
