Objective Of Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students Assam

As we all know there are many SC students who due to a lack of financial funds are not able to continue their further studies. This results in an increment in dropout Rates of children from studies. By keeping this in mind the Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment has come up with a new scheme known as Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students. Under this scheme, the financial fund will be given to the students so that they would be able to complete their classes 9th and 10th without thinking about any financial burden.

The following incentives will be given to the student under Pre Matric Scholarship

Selection Criteria For Scholarship

• The selection of the student will depend on the fulfillment of eligibility criteria
• Those applicants who fulfill eligibility criteria can avail of the benefit under this scheme.
• If the person does not fulfill the eligibility criteria then they are not eligible to apply under a pre-matric scholarship.

Terms And Conditions

• This scholarship is available only for 1 year. If the student is repeating the class then the scholarship will not be awarded
• During the academic year, the scholarship will be payable only for 10 months
• The student who will get a scholarship in class 9th will renew it in class 10th according to good conduct and regularity
• The Government of India can change the provisions of the schemes at any time
• If the candidate is living in any other state than the state of domicile then the scholarship will be rewarded by the state they belong to.
• An income certificate will be required at the time of admission

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam
• They must belong to the scheduled caste
• An applicant must be full-time studying is a student in class 9th or 10th
