AICTE PG Scholarship 2024 is presented for people who are currently pursuing a PG degree in AICTE-approved Institutions situated in India. People who are currently pursuing a master’s degree will be eligible to apply for these scholarship programs created by the organization. Overview of AICTE PG Scholarship 2024
AICTE-approved Institutions will now be providing PG scholarships to people who are currently pursuing 1st year of a master’s degree. The financial assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries through DBT mode. All the eligible institutes will upload the eligible PG student’s details on the official AICTE portal before 15th December to be eligible. Students can fill out the application form for the scholarship now with the help of their school authorities. A lot of important information is needed to fill out the application form for the AICTE PG Scholarship opportunity. The students must have passed the entrance examination of GATE and the scorecard must be uploaded on the official portal to be eligible for the scholarship.

Objective of AICTE PG Scholarship
The main objective of the AICTE PG Scholarship is to provide opportunities to people who are not able to continue their education due to various reasons. People who are currently pursuing PG degrees in organizations will be eligible to get the benefit of this program. People must be coming from the economically backward section of society to get the benefit of the program. The scholarship will help the students to continue their education even after they complete the PG degree in the organization. People can go forward and continue their Ph.D. degrees after they have received financial assistance to get good employment in India.

Eligibility Criteria
- Post Graduate Scholarship is entitled only to those students:
- i) Having a valid GATE/CEED score at the time of admission.
- ii) Must be admitted as a full-time scholar.
- iii) Students of final years of dual degree integrated programs would also be entitled to a PG Scholarship from the 9th semester onwards i.e. only for one year in the final year.
- iv) Admitted in AICTE approved Institutions/University Departments & AICTE approved programs viz. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, and Master of Design.
- v) The number of PG scholarships is limited to the AICTE-approved intake in the programme in that year. However, in addition to the approved intake, AICTE will provide a PG scholarship to the additional 10% of candidates over and above the approved intake of that course from the EWS category, if the university/ institute has admitted students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) as per MHRD OM F.No.12-4/2019-U1 dated 17th January 2019.

Reward Details of AICTE PG Scholarship
- The Scholarship under the scheme is Rs. 12,400/- per month per student.
- The Scholarship is tenable for 24 months or for the duration of the course i.e. from the date of commencement of classes till the date of completion of the classes whichever is lower and is not extendable under any circumstances.
- Students of the final years of dual degree integrated programmes would also be entitled to a PG Scholarship from the 9th semester onwards i.e. only for one year in the final year
Selection Process of AICTE PG Scholarship
- The selection will be done on the basis of the eligibility criteria presented by the organization.
- Students will be selected on the basis of the score that they have achieved in their entrance exam.
- To continue the scholarship, it is important that you get good marks in your master’s degree and appear for all the exams.
Documents Required
- Scanned copy of GATE/CEED scorecard.
- A Bank account should be ACTIVE with an Aadhar Card.
- Only an Aadhar active savings bank account will be considered since the PG Scholarship is released through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) mode through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
- No-Frill Accounts, Jan Dhan accounts, Bank Accounts having limits on transactions/credits and joint Accounts are not permitted.
- Bank accounts should not either be closed or transferred/shifted during the period of the course.
- A scanned copy of the original Aadhar Card should be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format.
- A scanned copy of the valid Category Certificate for SC/ST, EWS, OBC & Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) should be uploaded. The latest (not beyond one year old) EWS and OBC & Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate should be issued by the Competent Authority.

Important Instructions
- In case any student/scholar receives any financial assistance from any other organization during the tenure of the course, with due permission of the university/institute, the scholar will not be entitled to the scholarship for the duration in which he/ she is availing such financial assistance and it shall be resumed on discontinuance of such external financial assistance.
- The period for which the scholar has received external financial assistance shall be deducted from the maximum duration of the scholarship.
- Foreign students, sponsored candidates and candidates admitted in PG programs through management quota are not eligible for the Scholarship.
- It will be obligatory for every post-graduate student to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to him /her by the Institute.
- The Scholarship will be granted to the student on a monthly basis subject to satisfactory academic performance and adherence to University/Institute norms/rules and regulations as applicable from time to time, certified by the Head of the Institute and obligatory work.
- PG Scholarship is not admissible to passed-out students taking 2nd time admission on the basis of re-qualifying GATE/CEED exam who have already availed the scholarship from AICTE or any other centrally funded institution like – IITs and NITs etc.
- The amount of the PG Scholarship is subject to change as per the notification issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi (now Ministry of Education) from time to time, with the approval of the Executive Committee of the Council.
- For those scholars who left the course midway on or after 1st October 2020, the scholarship shall be stopped.
Other Instructions
- The Scholarship may be discontinued at any time for any kind of misconduct by the student, like involvement in the act of ragging, misbehavior, etc. on the recommendations of the Head of Institution (HOI).
- The mode and procedure of payment of Scholarships to the students shall be governed by the policy decision of the AICTE as may be notified from time to time on its web portal or through advertisement in leading English/Hindi newspapers.
- Any belated claim preferred after one year of the completion of the program shall not be entertained.
- The AICTE may impose any other conditions as deemed necessary from time to time and the decision of the AICTE shall be final and binding upon the recipients i.e. University/Institute/College/Student who are under the ambit of the AICTE for receipt of PG Scholarship.
- In case any student/scholar avails of the break during the scholarship period on medical grounds with due permission of the university/institute, the scholarship will be discontinued from the month of such break and shall be resumed on rejoining the program for the remaining period of the scholarship.
- An aadhar number is mandatory for applying for a PG scholarship. Applications will not be accepted without the Aadhar number of the candidate
