Objective Of Alo Scholarship

As we all know there are many economically weaker section students who due to their financial condition and lack of financial funds are not able to continue higher education. And their dream of continuing education remains incomplete. By keeping this in mind the Aalo non-profit organization has created a new scheme known as Alo Scholarship. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to students who are financially weak but want to continue higher education. The main objective of this scheme is to provide scholarship amounts for the studies so that they would be able to continue their education without thinking about any financial constraints

Scholarship Amount Under Alo Scholarship

The following scholarship amount will be provided to the selected students under Alo Scholarship

• Rs. 7,200 will be provided to the students per annum
• That is Rs. 600 will be given to the student on a monthly basis

Selection Criteria Under Alo Scholarship

The following selection criteria are needed to avail of the benefit under Alo Scholarship

• The selection of the student will be based on the madhyamik percentage of students.
• And it will be made on the basis of annual income and other factors.
• The list of selected candidates will be published on the online portal on 30th November 2022
• The selected candidates will be called for an interview.
• The concerned authority will go through the documents and ask the question to student.
• After that, the final merit list will be prepared.

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are required to avail of the benefit under Alo Scholarship

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
• He or she must be studying in a West Bengal School
• The students who are pursuing class 11th are eligible to apply for this scheme
• An applicant must have passed their madhyamik exam with at least 70% off marks in the Arts stream and 75% off marks in Science and Commerce stream
