The Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship For ST Students, GOA is presented by the Government of India to provide financial assistance to all of the people who belong to the scheduled tribe category and have completed their pre-matric education and now want to complete their post-matric education after their class 10th final examination. This scholarship will be available for all of the scheduled tribe candidates who are permanent residents of India and are currently residing in Goa in order to completely get further education in the state. The scholarships are however not award to the Candi who are taking into consideration training courses. The annual income of the family of the candidates must not exceed Rs 2 lakh.

Benefits Of Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship For ST Students, GOA
The applicant will be provided with the following benefits while they have successfully applied for this scholarship:-
- Maintenance allowance of up to INR 1,200 per month (for hostellers) and INR 550 per month (for day scholars)
- Additional allowance for ST students with disabilities of up to INR 240 per month
- Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
- Study tour charges of up to INR 1,600 per annum
- Thesis typing/printing charges of up to INR 1,600 per annum
Terms and Conditions
The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to be eligible for the scholarship opportunity:-
- The scholarship will be provided for studies in India only.
- All the children of the same parents/guardian can avail of the benefits of this scholarship.
- The income certificate will take only once which will be at the time of admission to the course.
- The scholarship is provided on the basis of the satisfactory progress and conduct of the scholars.
- Applicants are requested to fill out the application form online, with the correct and verifiable details only.
- Funds provided under this scheme will not utilize for any other purpose.
- The Government of India at its own discretion can change the provisions of this scheme at any time.
Selection Procedure
All the students who belong to the schedule tribe candidates category will be eligible to get the benefits of this scholarship scheme but the candidates must also follow the norms related to the annual income that they need to get in order to be a part of this prestigious scholarship opportunity. The award will be made available to all of the candidates according to the renewal period and the duration which is lock by the concern organization. The scholarship will award according to the rules and regulations maintained by the organization and the maintenance allowance will be available from the first of April or from the month of admission. The candidates will award the previous year’s scholarship awards in case of renewal and maintenance and will pay from month to month. This scholarship will not pay if the candidate is taking into consideration internships and other such incentives.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for these scholarship schemes:-
- The applicant must be a domicile of Goa
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribes community
- The applicant must be studying in Class 11 to Ph.D. level at recognized institutions
- The applicant must have an annual family income not exceeding INR 2 lakh
- The applicant must not be getting any other Centrally-fund Pre-Matric Scholarship
- The applicant must be enrolled in a Government school or in a school recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education

To apply for the scholarship we will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-
- The candidates will first have to visit the Centrally Sponsored Post Matric website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
- The home page will open on your screen.
- Click on the option called New Registration
- The instructions will open on your screen.
- Tick mark the declaration.
- Click on the “Continue” option.
- Enter all of the details.
- Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
- Enter the captcha code
- Click the “Register” option.
- Now you have to log in using your credentials.
- Click on the option called Application Form
- The application form will be displayed on the screen
- Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
- Click on “Save & Continue”
- Upload the documents.
