A new scheme has been created by the Directorate of Minority Welfare Government of Kerala to provide educational opportunities among the girl student of minority communities such as the Muslim Community, Converted Christians, and Latin Catholics. Under CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship financial help will be provided to students who are pursuing the first year of graduation. The main aim of launching the scheme is to provide opportunities to complete their education without thinking about any financial hurdles. Objective Of CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship
As we all know there are many girl students who due to their weak financial condition are not being able to pursue their higher education. Lack of funds leads to dropout rates of the girl student from minority communities. Keeping this in mind the Directorate of Minority Welfare Government of Kerala has launched a new scheme known as the Muhammed Koya Scholarship. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the girl’s student who wants to pursue their higher education. Selection Criteria of Muhammed Koya Scholarship
The following selection criteria are required to apply under CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship
- The candidate needs to fill out the application form online
- After filling out the form they have to take the printout of the form and attach all the Relevant documents
- The applicants need to submit these documents to the head of the institution
- The institution will verify the documents of the candidate
- After the successful verification, the head of an institution will approve the application through the scholarship portal
- After the approval, the institute will return the documents of the candidate
- The documents will be inspected by the scholarship inspection team for the final submission
- After the whole process, the scholarship will be dispersed by the Directorate of Minority Welfare
Rewards Under Scholarship
Around 7000 awards will be distributed by the Directorate of Minority Welfare to the student every year. The following award will be given to the selected student under CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship

Terms & Conditions
- The Directorate of Minority Welfare only invites the application through online mode; offline applications will not be considered.
- Candidates need to submit the printout of their application form with the mentioned documents
- There is no application fees for the submission of the CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship
- The candidates who are pursuing education in self-financing institutions should be forwarded by the head of the institution
Eligibility Criteria
The following eligibility criteria are required to avail of the benefit under the Scholarship
- An applicant must be a female candidate only
- She must belong to a minority community such as Muslim, Converted Christian & Latin Catholic
- The candidate must have passed the 12th examination with a minimum of 50% of marks
- An applicant must be a student of a government-added institution or should have secured Admission under the Government quota
- The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum from all the sources
