List of scholarships
There are three means scholarship programs provided by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Philippines:
- The DOST Scholarship Program (DSP),
- The Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Scholarship Program (STEP)
- The Science Education Development Program (SEDP).
Type of Dost Scholarship
Dost scholarship is of two types: RA 7687 and merit scholarship.
- RA 7687: the scholarship is provided as per the republic act 7687 which is also known as science and technology act 1994. Under this scholarship is provided to the talented students whose family is are from weak economically background.
- Merit scholarship: merit scholarship is also known as NSDB or NSTA Scholarship. As per the republic act 2067 the scholarship is provided to the students on merit basis. Students who have higher bedewed in science and mathematics and desire to pursue their career in the field of science and technology can grab this opportunity.

Dost Scholarship 2023 Application Procedure
- To apply you have to go to the official website of the Dost Scholarship
- Choose “programs and projects” option and then go to the scholarship option
- From further opened list you need to select the “undergraduate scholarships” option
- Further choose “S&T Undergraduate Scholarships” and read the information
- Select “online application system” option and then “E-Scholarship Application System” option
- Select the apply link and fill the details in the application form
- Complete the application and upload the documents
- Submit the form by hit submit option and take print out for further use
