Objective of Dr Ambedkar Scholarship 

Scheduled tribe and scheduled caste students are mostly provided little to know opportunities in India because of the economic background from which they are coming. Types of Scholarships & Eligibility Criteria 

Punjab

Dr Ambedkar scholarship Punjab is also available for the people of the Punjab state so if you are coming from an economically backward section of the society then you can apply for this scholarship however you must be a permanent resident of Punjab. Students are also requested to follow the eligibility criteria which are presented by the organization on the official website of NSP and most importantly you must follow the annual family income criteria.   • Applicant must belong to General Category other than Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Classes
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family should not be more than INR 1 Lakh per annum for OBC and INR 2.5 Lakh per annum for SC.
  • Applicant must be a student of post-matriculation or post-secondary courses in Government institutions
  • Only two boys of the same parents/guardian will get a scholarship
  • Applicants must not hold any other scholarship/ stipend.

Chandigarh

If you are a permanent resident of the Chandigarh state then you will be eligible to apply for the Dr Ambedkar scholarship Chandigarh only if you belong to the economically weaker section of the society. Haryana

Dr Ambedkar scholarship is also particularly available for the Haryana state but in this state, the scholarship is known as the Doctor Ambedkar medhavi Chhatra Sanshodhit Yojana. Students can apply for the scholarship by visiting the official website of the NSP portal but they will be provided help only if they are currently pursuing studies. Students who are eligible to apply for the scholarship can do the same from the NSP portal by checking out the eligibility criteria given below:

  • The student must be a domicile of Haryana.
  • The student must come from Scheduled Caste, Vimukt Jati, DNTs, Taprivas, and Backward Classes.
  • The annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4,00,000 per annum.
  • The SC/Vimukt Jati/DNTs/Taprivas students must have obtained the following minimum marks in the qualifying examination:
  • Class 10 – 70% for urban students and 60% for rural students 
  • Class 12 – 75% for urban students and 70% for rural students
  • Graduation – 65% for urban students and 60% for rural students
  • The students belonging to backward classes (Block – A) must have obtained minimum marks of 70% (for urban students) and 60% (for rural students) in Class 10. 
  • The students belonging to backward classes (Block – B) must have obtained minimum marks of 80% (for urban students) and 75% (for rural students) in Class 10.

  • The home page will open on your screen.
  • Click on the option called New Registration
  • The instructions will open on your screen.
  • Tick mark the declaration.
  • Click on the “Continue” option.
  • Enter all of the details.
  • Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
  • Enter the captcha code y
  • Click the “Register” option.
  • Now you have to log in using your credentials.
  • Click on the option called Application Form
  • The application form will be displayed on the screen
  • Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
