KALIA Scholarship 2024: Apply Online Before Last Date

The Department of Agriculture and Farmer Empowerment Government of Odisha has launched the KALIA Scholarship to give monetary benefits to the children of Kalia Yojana beneficiaries. The scholarship is for the children of farmers, actual cultivators of landless agriculture households. The beneficiaries will be able to pursue higher education at a good school. All the students who cleared the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form before the last date i.e. 31st January 2024. Importance of Odisha Kalia Scholarship 2024

To help the children of farmers under the KALIA Yojanaa the Government of Odisha has launched the KALIA Scholarship. Under this scholarship, the children will get monetary benefits to continue higher studies. This monetary aid will help the student to continue their education in professional and technical courses like medical engineering, agriculture allied nursing diploma, and different trades in ITI. All the Students who clear the eligibility criteria can apply for the Kalia scholarship by filling out the registration form on the official website. Only the children of the beneficiaries of KALIA are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Objective of KALIA Scholarship

The main objective of launching the Kalia scholarship is to ensure that the children of the beneficiaries will get quality education. The Government of Odisha has launched the KALIA Scholarship to reduce the illiteracy rate among the farmers and increase the education rate in the state. The children of the beneficiaries can easily apply for professional or technical graduation courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.PHARMA, BSC, B.TECH, BBA, BCA, etc. The students who clear the eligibility criteria can easily apply for the Kalia scholarship. It is a great initiative by the government to make the students interested in education.

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must be children of all the eligible beneficiaries of the Kalia Yojana under support to cultivators for cultivation and livelihood support to landless agriculture household components.
The applicant must have obtained merit admission in a government or private institute with an AISHE Code.
Cost-sharing and self-financing will not be eligible for this scholarship.
The student must not be taking benefit of any other scholarship.
The scholarship will be provided to the beneficiaries for only one professional course
Students will not be liable to get a scholarship for a second professional course.
The student from outside private institutions of the state are not allowed to take benefit of this scholarship.

Benefits of Kalia Scholarship

The children of beneficiaries of KALIA will be able to continue their college education using financial assistance.
The student will be able to take admission in professional or technical graduation courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.PHARMA, BSC, B.TECH, BBA, BCA, etc.
Students will also be able to take admission in post-graduation level professional or technical courses.
The financial assistance will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiary to be used one paying the student fees.
The student will be able to get rid of the financial burden on their families
The children of the farmer will be able to study in Big colleges without wearing about the tuition fees

Reward Details

The annual tuition fees, time fees, hostel charges, and other fees will be provided to the students.
The scholarship amount will be provided to the student as per the course fee structure and closed in Annexure-1
The hostel/mess charges of INR 1200 per month for undergraduate postgraduate and PhD government institute courses will be provided to the student.
INR 1000 per month will be provided to diploma polytechnic ITI students for 10 months.

Selection Process

An applicant must be selected based on the clearance of eligibility criteria.
Only the students who are the children of Kalia Yojana beneficiaries will be selected for the scholarship.
Applicant must not obtain the benefit of any other scholarship by the false statement.
The benefit will not be provided to the student who claims false registration by the private institution
