What Is the MP Foreign Study Scholarship?

Madhya Pradesh MP Foreign Study Scholarship has been started by the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh for Backward class meritorious students. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial help to the students to get higher education Ph.D. Post-research, Ph.D., and Post Graduate Degrees from Foreign universities and institutes. Objective Of MP Foreign Study Scholarship

The Madhya Pradesh MP Foreign Study Scholarship scheme has been started by the government with the sole purpose of encouraging students to higher studies and promoting higher education. This will also help them in their development.

Eligibility Criteria

The aspirant must check the eligibility criteria specified below to apply for the above-mentioned scholarship scheme:-

• Applicant must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh
• Only one applicant from a family can apply
• Selected candidates have to enter the preferred universities/institutions in abroad within a period of three years from selection
• Applicant must belong to the Backward Class Category

Education

After Research Degree	Post-graduate examination and research degree (Ph.D.) with 60 percent marks and experience in the relevant field
Research Degree (Ph.D.)	Post-graduate examination and two years of teaching/ research/ professional experience/ M.Phil degree in the relevant field with 60 percent marks
Post Graduate Degree	Bachelor’s degree with 60 percent marks

Age Limit

The age of the aspirants should be less than 35 years as of 1st January 2022. 

MP Foreign Study Scholarship Financial Assistance

Annual subsistence allowance for all levels of courses	US$ 7700/- and for candidates in England (UK) £5000/-
Contingency Allowance	US$500 for books, necessary equipment/study trip/typing and binding of thesis, and 325 Pound Sterling Annual Contingency Allowance will be payable for candidates in England.
Poll Tax	Wherever it is payable, the Actual cost will be payable.
Equipment Allowance	Rs. 1100/-
Accessory Traveling Allowance	US$ 15/- or equivalent is allowed in Indian Rupees.
Fees and Insurance Premium	Actual expenses will be given.
Airfare	The economy class fare will be provided by the shortest air to and from the nearest place of educational institution.
Local journey	Second-class rail fare for travel from the port of departure to the place of study and return / bus fare for traveling to and from the place of stay in case of remote places that are not connected by rail

Duration Of Scholarship

Ph.D. Post Research	1- 1/2 Years (One and a half Years)
Ph.D.	4. Years (Four Years)
Post Graduate Degree	2 Years (Two Years)
Only on receipt of a certified recommendation from the University/ Institute to the effect that an extended stay for a specified period of time is absolutely necessary to complete the course can be considered.

Selection Method

Selection of the candidates for this scholarship will be made on the basis of the following:-

• Scrutiny of application will be done
• Selected candidates will call for an interview. (The government will also provide second-class rail fare/ordinary-class bus fare to travel from the place of residence to the interview venue.)
• A list of the selected candidates will be prepared.
