About NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship 2024

A lot of different types of overseas scholarships are available at the epass portal through which the candidates are eligible to get scholarship benefits even if they are studying abroad. These scholarships are a way to help candidates take professional educational courses not available in India. This scholarship is specially presented by the Backward Classes Welfare Department Government of Andhra Pradesh state. The financial assistance will only be provided to the students belonging to the backward class categories.

AP Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following educational qualifications to be eligible for this scholarship:-

• Backward Classes students’ family income should not be more than Rs. Six Lacs (6,00,000) per annum from all sources to apply for NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship.
• The students must enclose the income certificate which should obtain through MEE SEVA. A copy of the latest Tax assessment, as well as the latest salary slip from the employer, is also needed to be submitted with the application.
• The BC candidates’ age should not be more than 35 years as of 1 July 2019.
• For Post Graduate Courses: A degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences /Agriculture Sciences / Medicine & Nursing /Social Sciences/Humanities is the educational criteria.
• For Ph.D. Course: PG course in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine / Social Sciences/ Humanities is the educational criteria.
• PG courses include PG Diploma courses of One year, and One and a Half year duration.
• The scheme includes the study of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CPM (Certified Portfolio Manager) courses in the US since they are equivalent to Chartered Accountancy (CA) / Cost Accounting (CA) courses in India.
• The scheme is available for only one child of the same parents or guardian.
• A self-certification will require from the candidate in this regard.
• The scholars are not eligible to get this award again as it will give award to one student only once in a lifetime.

Eligible Countries

The scholarship will only be available in the following countries:-

• USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Russia, Philippines, Kazakhstan, and China (Philippines, Kazakhstan, and China only for medicine).

Necessary Requirement

The following documents must be enclosed with the applicant to be eligible for the scholarship:-

• The candidate should have a valid TOEFL/IELTS & GRE/GMAT.
• Applicants must have obtained admission in an accredited Foreign University.
• The student must hold a valid Passport.
• The Candidates are required to make their own efforts in seeking admission in accredited University/Institution abroad.
• The selected candidate has to join the concerned university within one year of communication of selection. Once the specified period of time is out, the award will be automatically canceled and come to an end.

Amount Of NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship

The amount of scholarship for the beneficiaries are as follows:-

• The selected candidates of the NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship will get award of Rs. Ten Lacs towards fees and living expenses by the way of a grant.
• Fees shall be payable in two installments as follows:
  • Instalment-I: An amount of Rs.5.00 lakhs shall be payable to the students upon production of the landing permit /I- 94 card. (Immigration Card)
  • Instalment-II: An amount of Rs.5.00 lakhs shall be payable to the students upon production of the 1st Semester results.
• Earnings from Research/Teaching Assistance-ship: The awardees are permitted to supplement their prescribed allowances by undertaking a Research/Teaching Assistantship.

• Caste Certificate from Mee Seva.
•  Income Certificate from Mee Seva.
•  Date of Birth certificate.
•  Aadhar card.
•  E-pass ID Number.
•  Residential/Nativity certificate.
•  Passport copy.
•  Mark sheet from SSC/Inter/Graduate/PG level.
•  GRE /GMAT or equivalent qualifying exam/test scorecard.
•  TOFEL / IELTS scorecard.
• Admission offer letter from a Foreign University (I-20, letter of Admission or equivalent).
•  A copy of the latest Tax assessment is enclosed.
•  Copy of Bank Pass Book of Nationalized Bank.
•  Photo to be scanned and uploaded.

NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selection procedure for the scholarship is as follows:-

• The notification shall be issued in leading dailies calling for applications and wide publicity will be on University Campuses and in the e-PASS portal in August/September.
• All such students desirous of applying for financial assistance for studies abroad shall apply online from 1st August to 30th September.
• 33% of the awards shall mark for Women Candidates (if an adequate number of eligible women candidates are not available then Male candidates may be selected against this 33%).
• Bifurcation of BC quota as 7: 10: 7 will be done between BC-A, B, and D groups.
• The awards shall be proportionately allocated o the 13 districts based on the number of eligible applications from each district.
