About Punjab Scholarship 2023

The Punjab scholarship which has been started by the government of Punjab in collaboration with various departments was to provide opportunities for students in the Punjab state. This scheme will cover education at school as well as college level. The main aim of launching the Punjab Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for further studies. With the help of this scholarship, students of the state will be able to pursue higher education without thinking about any financial hurdles. All the interested applicants who want to apply under this scheme will have to visit the official website of E Punjab Portal and the National Scholarship Portal

Punjab Government Scholarship Latest Update

The Punjab government has recently released 183 crore rupees under the post matric scholarship program which is now listed on the official website of the Punjab scholarship portal. Students from scheduled castes will be able to apply for the post-matric scholarship program presented by the authorities. As per the authorities, it is said that the funds were previously released only for the academic year 2017 and now the people who have applied for these scholarships after 2017 to 2020 will be provided the funds at once. The institutes available in the Punjab State will be receiving the amount according to the audit that was done by the Punjab government. The Punjab government has already released 40% of the amount to the institute after auditing. The government organisation also said that they must have released the whole amount but some institutes have not uploaded the details related to the undertaking online.

Objective Of Punjab Scholarship

There are many students who due to their weak financial condition are not able to pursue higher education and their dream of continuing academics stayed incomplete. Keeping this in mind the government of Punjab has launched the Punjab Scholarship in collaboration with various departments. The main objective of launching the Punjab scholarship is to provide educational opportunities to the students of the state. Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are required to avail of the benefit under Punjab Scholarship

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Student	An applicant who is studying at the poles matriculation label from class 11 to postdoctoral level is eligible to apply under this scheme The annual salary of the family should not exceed more than Rs. 2.50 lakh
Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Student	Students of classes 9 and 10 are eligible to apply The annual income should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs The applicant who has taken other centrally funded scholarship are not eligible to apply
Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students	An applicant who is studying at the poles matriculation label from class 11 to postdoctoral level is eligible to apply under this scheme The annual salary of the family should not exceed more than Rs. 2.50 lakh
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students	Students studying in classes 1 to 10 can apply under this scheme The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 50,000
Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities	Students belonging to the minorities communities like Sikhs, Parsis, Muslims, Christians, Jains, and Buddhists are eligible to apply under this scheme The student must be studying in class 12 10 at a government or private school The student must have obtained 50% of marks in their last examination The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 1 lakhs
Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities	Students belonging to the minorities communities like Sikhs, Parsis, Muslims, Christians, Jains, and Buddhists are eligible to apply under this scheme The students must be studying in class XI to Ph.D. at Government and private schools The student must have obtained 50% of marks in their last examination The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 1 lakhs
Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities	Students belonging to the minorities communities like Sikhs, Parsis, Muslims, Christians, Jains, and Buddhists are eligible to apply under this scheme The students must be studying in class XI to Ph.D. at Government and private schools The student must have obtained 50% of marks in their last examination The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs
Attendance Scholarship for the BC EBC and Primary Girl Student in Punjab	The girl student who is studying in primary class are eligible to apply Minimum class attendance must be 75% Parents of these children should not be Income taxpayers They should have less than 5 acres of land The annual income of the family should not exceed more than Rs. 1 lakh
Attendance Scholarship for the BC EBC and Primary Girl Student in Punjab	The girl student who is studying in primary class are eligible to apply Minimum class attendance must be 75% Parents of these children should not be Income taxpayers They should have less than 5 acres of land

• The home page will appear in front of you

• On the homepage, click on the option of Register As Student
• A new web page will appear in front of you
• Here you have to enter all the details that are asked
• After entering the details click on the Register option
• After registering yourself, click on Apply Now

• You will first have to visit the official website of the Punjab scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here 
• The home page will open on your screen
• You have to now click on the option called  List of students rejected by PFMS due to invalid mobile numbers(updated on 31-05-2023).
• The Excel sheet regarding the payment status will open on your screen.
• Students can check the details related to the rejected applications on the official sheet accordingly.
