On 20th July 2021 in Mumbai, HDFC COVID Crisis Support Scholarship 2022 has been launched as a part of Parivartan, HDFC Bank’s umbrella for its social responsibility. Under this scholarship scheme, 3200 students will benefit from monetary help. For this scheme, the bank has a corpus of Rs 9 crore. This amount will be divided among the eligible students directly into their bank accounts. The benefits will be provided one time only. The financial assistance will be given from Rs 15,000 to Rs 75,000.

Objective of Scholarship Scheme
The aim is to support students financially who are on the verge of dropping out of studies due to the COVID-19 Crises. Group Head – Business Finance and Strategy, Administration, Infrastructure, and CSR “Ms. Ashima Bhat said during the launch that the students are the future of the country and it is necessary to educate them. This COVID19 Pandemic adversely affects many families due to which the education of many students is at stake. So, we will support the talented young individuals who are going through hardships.”
Benefits of Scholarship Scheme
Students who will get one-time financial support under the HDFC COVID Crisis Support Scholarship who meet the eligibility conditions. Financial assistance ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 75,000.
- 1 to 5 Class students– INR 15,000
- 6 to 8 Class students– INR 18,000
- 9 to 12 Class students– INR 21,000
- Degree/ diploma courses- upto INR 75000
Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Scheme
- Applicants should be a student studying in school as well as those pursuing UG, PG, and diploma courses.
- An applicant who lost either or both of their parents due to COVID-19 or earning family members have lost their employment (or livelihood) during the pandemic.
- The annual income of the student’s family should be less than Rs 6 lakh.
