What is the STEM Stars Scholarship?
STEM Stars Scholarship is presented by Infosys Organisation in order to support female students who are not able to continue their education in the science stream. According to a study done by the organization around 1.6 million girls are not able to get good quality education because they belong to the economically backward section of the society. 25% of female students will face unfortunate circumstances and it creates problems for them to continue their education in classes 10 and 12th. Eligibility Criteria
- Girl students who are citizens of India
- Applicants must be enrolled in the first year of graduation at institutes of repute (NIRF accredited) in Engineering, Medical (MBBS) and other related STEM streams.
- Applicant’s annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 8,00,000.
- Applicants must have obtained admission into the identified colleges and completed their Class 12.
- Ongoing performance score should be a CGPA of 7 in engineering and such related courses and a pass qualification in all subjects for the year in MBBS for continuity till the completion of the system.
Reward Details of STEM Stars Scholarship
- The scholarship will cover tuition, living expenses, and study materials limited to INR 1Lakh annually at actuals for the duration of the course.

STEM Stars Scholarship: Selection Process
- Students will be selected on the basis of the income criteria.
- Selection can also be done on the basis of the marks that the students have obtained in their board exams.
- Students will have to appear for the interview round if applicable by the Infosys Foundation.

Candidates whose annual family income is less than or equal to Rs.8 lakh per annum are covered under the scheme.

The amount of scholarship is capped at Rs. 1 Lakh p.a which would cover college tuition fees, related learning materials, accommodation and living expenses against which receipts of payments will have to be submitted.
