About Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship 2024

The Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship West Bengal 2024 was created by the government of West Bengal State to provide scholarship opportunities for girls’ students who have recently passed class 12th and are currently taking admission to graduation courses in their nearest colleges and universities. Rupees 3000 per month will be provided to undergraduate students who are currently undertaking prestigious graduate programs. Apart from the monetary monthly expenses, an annual book grant will also be provided for other extracurricular activities.

BKMB Scholarship Rewards Details

The following rewards will be available to the beneficiaries in this scholarship:-

• A sum INR 3000 p.m will be provided to undergraduates till their M.B.B.S/B.Tech/B.E program.
• Apart from this, the candidates will be automatically entitled to a DST-INSPIRE scholarship worth 80,000 p.a. till M.Sc.
• The scholars will be provided an Annual Book Grant of INR 2000 p.a.
• The scholars will be entitled to participate in the seminars and colloquia, Travel and Enrichment program, Project work, and Academic and Career counseling.

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• Any girl student having Indian Nationality can apply for this scholarship.
• Candidates must belong to West Bengal.
• Students who passed their 10th standard or equivalent examinations in 2021 are eligible for scholarships.
• Students must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates also take admission in class XI in the science stream (with at least 3 subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, and Computer Science) in the same year of application.

Documents Required

The applicant must submit the following documents to apply for the scholarship:-

• Three recent photos of passport size to be pasted in the specific area of the application form
• Photocopy of the mark sheet of class 12 or equivalent
• A Bank Draft of INR 200 payable at Kolkata in favor of “Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search”
• A self-addressed envelope having a postal stamp of INR 10 (envelope size 20 cm x 12 cm) for sending Admit Card
• Admission proof of 1st-year

BKMB Scholarship Selection Process

The applicant must follow the following selection procedure to apply for the scholarship:-

• First, the students will have to appear in a written test in order to qualify for the second round of selection.
• The second round of selection includes the Interview in which the qualified members will appear.
• The third and final phase for the selection process is Scientific Creativity. Final results will be declared after the third phase of selection and results could be seen on the official website of JBNSTS.

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to apply for the scholarship:-

• Net banking/credit card/debit card/wallet.
• The online application fee paid will not be refunded, however, if any other excess amount is deducted, the applicant may send his/her complaint to Director, Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search at jbnsts@jbnsts.org.
• The applicants can make online payments through both online and offline mode. For offline mode, a bank draft of INR 200 will be required in favor of the organization’s name.

Senior BKMB Applicants Selected for Interview

The Scholarship exam for the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship was held on 21st November 2021.
