What Is INSPIRE Scholarship 2023?
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) is a scholarship that is provided to students who are finding it hard to continue their education because they are financially not stable. The scholarship is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology present in India and it is mainly provided to students who are currently undertaking scientific courses. The main benefits of this scholarship are the financial assistance that is provided to the students at an early age.

INSPIRE Scholarship Latest Updates
The Kishore vaigyanik protsahan Yojana exam will not be conducted this year because it has been discontinued. The examination was a national-level fellowship program for students who were interested in a research career initiated by the Department of Science and Technology under the Government of India. Now the exam will be merged with the Inspire Scholarship 2022. The examination provided 300 scholarships annually to the students however inside the inspire Scholarship there are 12000 scholarships and fellowships available. This decision was taken to reduce stress for the students. The candidates will now not have to give any extra examinations in order to be eligible for the fellowship programs for the research careers available to them.

Types Of Scholarship
The following scholarships are available at the Inspire official portal:-
- Scheme For Early Attraction Of Talent or SEATS- This scholarship is available for that talented youth who are eager to study science. Rupees 5000 will be provided to 1 million young students between the age of 10 to 15 years. The scholarship will be provided to the students of Class 6th to Class 10th. Summer camps for about 50,000 Science students of class 11th with Global leaders will be provided so that the students can build new innovations on an annual basis through INSPIRE internships.
- Scholarship For Higher Education Or SHE- This scholarship will provide proper higher education facilities to the science stream students through science-intensive programs. Scholarship and also mentorship will be available in this type of scholarship. A total of 10,000 scholarships will be provided for a cost of Rupees 0.80 lakh per year to the students. The beneficiaries will be among the age group of 17 to 22 years. The scholarship will be provided to the students undertaking bachelor or master’s level education in natural sciences. Mentorship assistance will be provided to every scholar.
- Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC)- This scholarship will help in increasing the research and development department. It has two parts-
- The first part is the INSPIRE fellowship which is available for students from the age group of 22 years to 27 years. 10,000 fellowships will be provided in the first part of each year. This fellowship will be provided to carry out doctoral degrees in both basic and applied sciences including engineering and medicine.
- In the second part, the INSPIRE faculty scheme is provided. The faculty scheme gives guaranteed opportunity every year for 1000 Post Doctoral researchers in the age group of 27 years to 32 years. The opportunity will be provided through contractual or tenure-track positions for 5 years in both basic and applied science areas.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship we will have to follow the simple eligibility criteria given below:-
- The student must be above the age of 17 years
- He/She must be below the age of 22 years
- The student must be among the top 1% of the successful learners in terms of marks in the 10 plus two board examination.
- The student must be pursuing one of the courses mentioned above.
- The candidates who are amongst the top 10000 rankers in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)IIT, AIEEE (top 20000 rankers) and passed CBSE-Medical (AIPTM) and chosen to study Natural/Basic Sciences are eligible.
- He/ She, who got admission to the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences (DAE-CBS) at the Mumbai University for pursuing programs in Natural/Basic Sciences commencing to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree are also eligible.
- The candidates who are KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Olympiad Medallists, and Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) student and are seeking courses in Natural/Basic Sciences commencing to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree are eligible

Selection Criteria
The applicant will have to go through the following selection criteria in this scholarship:-
- The list of the candidates who will be shortlisted by the authorities will be displayed on the official portal of the Inspire scholarship
- The selected candidates will be able to download their provisional offer letter from the official website of the scholarship
- The shortlisted candidates will also be able to upload the necessary documents on the official website of the scholarship
- A timeline will be provided to complete the uploading of the documents
- The selected candidates will be able to get the scholarship awards directly from the State Bank of India
- The scholarship awards will be available through direct bank transfer into the bank account of the candidate.
INSPIRE Scholarship Renewal Process
The applicant will have to go through the following procedure in order to renew their scholarship:-
- The students who want to renew their scholarship must have at least 60% or 7.0 GPA in the annual examination each year or the past two semesters.
- If the candidates are not able to score the above-mentioned marks then their scholarship for the next academic year will be canceled.
- The scholarship will be available as soon as the academic performance of the candidates is satisfactory.

- User ID and password will be sent to your registered email ID
- Now you have to click on the activation link to activate your account

- The application will be successfully filled

- Submit your application form successfully
