Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship will be conducted every year by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) for the Postdoctoral Fellows to offer them an opportunity to do research in the U.S for making a healthy educational relationship between Indian nation and U.S. The fellow must be a member of one of the U.S host institutions for their grant. The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) advises all the fellows to show the proof of their connection and correspond with host institutions to remove any further consequences. The applicant must show the invitation from the host institute with the calling date. Applicants who are pursuing research in the following subjects are ale to fill the application form: Physics; Political Science (including, but not limited to, International Security and Strategic Studies); Psychology; Public Health (including, but not limited to, pandemic preparedness and comprehensive surveillance (genomic surveillance, sewage surveillance, sero-surveillance)).

Eligibility Criteria
The fellows need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for the fellowship programme:
- The fellow who wants to apply for the Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship must have a degree of Phd and M.D. within the duration of 4 years. Means you must get a degree from the year 17th of July 2019 and 16th July 2023.
- Applicants need to submit their PhD and M.D. certificate\Degree on their application form in online mode.
- Applicants must publish their research work in the Journal and must provide evidence of academic and professional achievements.
- And you also need to upload your recent research work on your application form with not more than 30 words in online mode.
- If any of the fellow is involved in other job-related work, then they need to clearly follow the guidelines allotted to them. The employer needs to submit the application with the indication of fellowship leave.
- Employers need to submit the FN Postdoc letter of support from the Home Institution from the relevant administrative authority.
- Applicants need to add the proper information about the period when you complete your research work in the U.S.

Application Procedure for Fellowship 2024
- Applicants first need to visit the Fulbright Fellowship Website of USIEF Portal.
- The homepage will appear on your screen, where you have to Scroll down to click on the Fulbright Scholarship option.
- Now the Scholarship page will appear on your screen. Here you have to click on the Fulbright Nehru scholarship.
- Now the Fulbright Nehru Fellowship page will appear on your screen. A list of fellowships will appear on your screen.
- From here, you have to select the Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship option.
- On this page you have to Scroll down, and you will see the application process steps where you have to click on the Application form option.
- Now if you are a first time user then click on the Registration button.
- Here fill the necessary details such as:
- Email id
- First name
- Last name
- Date of Birth
- After that click on the continue button. Now you will receive an OTP on your email address.
- Enter the OTP at the required place then complete your registration process.
- After that you have filled the required details under your application form and attached the necessary documents in PDF format.

Selection Process
The selection of the Researchers and Indian faculty will be done on the basis of the application form and the personnel interview session. You need to qualify the eligibility criteria to eliminate any consequences.
Terms and Conditions
- Applicants can apply for only one Fulbright fellowship during the full duration of researching.
- The candidate who wants to apply for the fellowship programme must apply for any one programme either you apply for the Fulbright Nehru Fellowship or Fulbright Kalam grants.
- If any candidate provides the duplicate researcher in their application then they will be disqualified.
- Application form for Fulbright Nehru Fellowship should be submitted online.
- If any of the applicants submit an application form after the last date then it will not be considered.
- Sponsorship of the visa will not transfer and be extended.
