About Haryana Consolidated Stipend Scheme

The Haryana government implemented the Haryana Consolidated Stipend Scheme in 2008-09. This scheme provides a stipend of Rs. 1000/- per month for twelve months, as well as an additional amount of Rs. 500/- per month for twelve months to SC students who use the hostel facilities. The Nodal Officer and staff will be paid an allowance of Rs. 4000/- and Rs. 2000/- at the time of transferring funds to students’ accounts four times a year. This is an opportunity for the 3rd generation of our freedom fighters who gave their lives to protect us and our nation. It is a great step taken by the government of Haryana. Because there are multiple families of our freedom fighters who cannot afford a high level of education for their children or grandchildren, especially the families who belong to SC Communities.

Objective of Haryana Consolidated Stipend Scheme

Hon’ble CM of Haryana has requested that a system be implemented to recognize the grandchildren (3rd Generation) of freedom fighters. As a result, in order to celebrate the grandchildren of freedom fighters, the Department has proposed that a scholarship equivalent to that available to children from scheduled caste families be made available to the grandchildren (third generation) of freedom fighters. The scholarship’s goal is to encourage these individuals to continue their studies. The chosen individuals will get a one-year scholarship of INR 1,000 per month as well as a one-time book allowance of INR 2,000.
