The National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities was launched by the University Grant Commission. This Fellowship was launched by the organisation to help disabled students to build their leadership skills and other basic knowledge. The fellowship aims to provide basic knowledge to the students so that they can get a job easily. This Fellowship is available to all the meritorious disabled students who are in M.Phil/Ph.D research. The duration of this National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities 2024 is different according to the courses. About National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities
The university grant commission has launched the National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities for student who wants to pursue an M.Phil/Ph.D. degree. Under this fellowship, students will be able to get the opportunity to do the research. This scholarship provides only 200 slots for the student. Out of which 15% of the seeds are reserved for scheduled castes and 7.5% of seats are reserved for scheduled tribes. All the selected candidates for this Fellowship will be provided with INR 31,000 as a monthly stipend. Along with that various other opportunities will be provided to the student. The student who clears the eligibility criteria can easily apply for this Fellowship.

Applications Inverted for NFPwD
The latest notification has been issued by the University Grant Commission regarding the commencement of the applications for the national fellowship for persons with a disability. Under this announcement, the concerned authority has declared 31st March 2022 as the last date to submit the applications. Applicants who wish to apply for the fellowship need to go through the official website and applied there for the last date. Financial benefits will be provided to the selected applicants under this fellowship program

Eligibility Criteria
- Any student who taken admitted in M.Phil/Ph.D degree course and pursuing research through regular and full-time mode in a University or academic institution is eligible
- An applicant with a disability is eligible to get this fellowship only
- Applicant must not get any other benefits from Central or State Government or other bodies like UGC for pursuing M.Phil/Ph.D.
