About Tibetan Scholarship Program 2023
Under Tibetan Scholarship program financial help will be given to the selected students to pursue a two-year master’s degree program from the US. Applications out invited from the Tibetan refugees who came to India and Nepal for residing. This scholarship program has been sponsored by the ECA in collaboration with the Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) Department of Education (DoE). total seven applicants will be selected out of which six will be from India and one from Nepal. Selection Procedure
For selection following procedure will be followed by the authorities
Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant who is born on or after January 1, 1987, can apply
- The applicant should be a Tibet refugee who is residing India or Nepal
- Must complete at least four years of academic work after Class XII. It could be a three-year Bachelor’s degree and the fourth year can be your Bachelor of Education credentials or your first year Master’s degree academic credential or Partial computer courses, vocational training, and diplomas.
- Applicant must have secured at least 55% marks in the bachelor’s degree
- Those who are pursuing or possess M. Phil / Ph. D degree are not eligible
- Applicant must desire to pursue two-year master’s degree programs in the United States
Important Note
- Applicant have to take the Institutional TOEFL test (ITP) on the same day after the General Written Test in Tibetan (GWTT) in New Delhi and Bangalore.
- Candidates have to appear for General Written Test in Tibetan and secure a minimum of 30 points out of 50 on the GWTT to go for next level
- Candidates have to appear for TOFEL ITP test and have to obtain an approximate score of 550
