The government of West Bengal has launched a West Bengal post-matric scholarship. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to students of West Bengal studying from class 11th to Ph.D. level. Applicants will be eligible to get financial assistance up to Rs 11000 under the scheme. West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship has been launched in order to motivate students belonging to minority, SC, ST, and OBC communities to pursue higher education. Now students will not be required to depend on anyone to pursue education as the government of West Bengal will make financial assistance available to them. The implementation of this scheme will be done by the West Bengal minorities department and Finance corporation

WB Minority Post Matric Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be permanent president of West Bengal
• The applicant should be studying in an institution recognized by the educational board
• Students must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination
• The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed 2 lakh from all sources
• The student should be long to the Buddhist Jain Christian Parsi Muslim or Sikh community of West Bengal

SC ST Post Matric Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be permanent president of West Bengal
• The applicant should be studying in an institution recognized by the educational board
• Students must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination
• The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed 2 lakh from all sources
• The applicant should belong to a scheduled caste or scheduled tribe category

OBC Post Matric Scholarship 

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be permanent president of West Bengal
• The applicant should be studying in an institution recognized by the educational board
• Students must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination
• The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed 2 lakh from all sources
