IIT Jammu RISE-UP Program 2023 is an internship program created by the Indian Institute of Technology which is situated in Jammu and Kashmir in order to help people in getting various opportunities related to Research and Technology. The people who are interested in Science and Engineering and apply for the internship program will be provided with the opportunity to work closely with the faculty member of the organization. About IIT Jammu RISE-UP Program 2023

IIT Jammu has created a new opportunity which is known as a RISE UP opportunity. The full form of the opportunity is a research internship in Science and Engineering for the year 2023 and the last date to apply for this opportunity is April 23, 2023. Indian Institute of Technology situated in Jammu is inviting applications for this program which is an undergraduate program. Students who are interested in Science and Engineering can visit the official website and fill out the application form available by IIT Jammu faculty members. The people who will be selected for IIT Jammu RISE-UP Program will be working closely with the faculty members. Students will be able to gain research experience and they will be able to continue their education in prestigious institutes such as IIT Jammu.

Important Dates

• The last date to apply for the program is 23 April 2023 
• The internship period will be a minimum of 6 weeks.
• The internship will start on 22 May 2023.
• The internship will end on 2 July 2023.
• The result of the internship will be announced before May 8 2023.
• All the applications received under a particular project will be shared with the supervisor concerned by 24 April 2023.
• The list of selected interns will be published on the official website on 8 May 2023.

Internship Program Details

The applicant can check out the major information related to the details of the internship program from the pointers given below and they can then apply for the internship program accordingly:

• The internship period will be of minimum six weeks starting from May 22, 2023, till the end of July.
• The internship period can be extended up to eight weeks with the mutual consent of the student and his supervisor at IIT Jammu. 
• A student should select one primary project and one secondary project based on his/her research interest. 
• The student and his/her supervisor may change the problem statement with mutual consent.  

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• be a pre-final year graduate/undergraduate non-IIT Jammu student

Reward Details

The following rewards will be provided to the applicants who will be applying for this internship program:

• The students will receive weekly financial assistance of Rupees 2500 during the course of the internship.
• The financial assistance will be different for the faculty-funded projects.
• Hostel accommodation will be provided to all the summer interns and the students are required to pay the applicable hostel charges.
• The supervisor will also be receiving a contingency budget of rupees 5000 per month.

• Bonafide Certificate from Head of Department (HoD)/ \Head of the institution 
• Declaration letter by the parents and other related documents/certificates which will justify the potential of the student

Terms and Conditions

There are a lot of terms and conditions that you must follow whenever you are applying for this internship program and given below we are sharing the same:

• Temporary guest IDs will be given to the selected students.
• The internship period is going to be a minimum of six weeks starting from the 22nd of May 2023 till the end of July.
• The internship period can be extended up to eight weeks with the mutual consent of the student and his supervisor at IIT Jammu.
• Students should select one primary project and one secondary project based on their research interests. The students and their supervisors may change the problem statement with mutual consent.
• Uploading of duplicate and/or wrongly attached documents/late and/or incomplete applications will not be processed.
• No changes can be made to the online application once it has been submitted.

• The registration form will open on your screen and you are required to fill in the important details.
• Upload all of the documents and successfully fill out the application form in order to apply for the internship.
• The confirmation message after the successful registration form submission will open on your screen and you can download the confirmation message for future use.
