Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)

Benefits Of OWWA Scholarship Program

Beneficiaries who get selected for the Education for Development Scholarship Program will get a maximum of Php 60,000.00 per school year until the completion of the baccalaureate course. This scheme is beneficial for 400 fresh candidates and 600 candidates who are already enrolled in the college.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Incoming Senior High School
    • Applicant must have at least 80%, General Weighted Average
    • Applicant must not fail grades upon application
    • Must have cleared DOST National Examination and rank in the top 400 candidates nationwide
  • Incoming Freshmen
    • Must be single
    • Age should not be more than 21 years
    • Must pass 11th grade
    • Applicant must have at least 80%, General Weighted Average
    • Must have cleared DOST National Examination and rank in the top 400 candidates nationwide
  • Already enrolled in college
    • Age should not be more than 30 years
    • Applicant must have at least 85% General Weighted Average or not lower than B letter grade in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates for this scholarship scheme will be made on the basis of the DOST national examination. Students who scored higher rank will get selected. The top 400 students who crack the test will get scholarships.

Application Procedure

  • To apply you have to visit the nearest OWWA Regional Welfare Office in your area
  • From there you have to get queuing number or queue in the line for the EDSP scholarship application
  • Present the I.D. of the OFW member with the documents listed above to the Membership Verification Desk
  • Get the Notice of Award and Schedule of Scholarship Orientation validation/evaluation from there
  • At last, you have to attend the scholarship Orientation and Facilitate the Notarization of the Scholarship Agreement

OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)

Benefits Of The Scheme

Beneficiaries selected for the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program will get a maximum of Php 20,000.00 per school year enrolled in baccalaureate courses or associate courses in any college or university. OFWs must not receive a monthly salary of more than US $600.00.

    • Must be passed 11th grade
    • Applicant must have at least 80%, General Weighted Average
  • Already enrolled in college
    • Must be single
    • Age should not be more than 30 years

Beneficiaries of the Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members will get the following benefits:

  • Educational Assistance
    • Primary (Kindergarten)- Php 5,000.00, 
    • Secondary- Php 8,000.00 
    • Tertiary- Php 10,000.00
