NMMS Scholarship 2024: Apply Online before 31st January

NMMS Scholarship is available by the organization to provide scholarships to students who are looking forward to financially supporting their families by pursuing higher education. About NMMS Scholarship

The Central Government has started the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship for people who want to get financial support and build their careers by achieving an education. Around 12000 Rupees will be provided per annum to such students belonging to economically weaker sections by the means of this National Scholarship created by the Central Government. Approximately 1 lakh scholarships are provided under this initiative created by the Central Government. The Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development will be the organization Authority for the national scholarship created for students belonging to the lower economical group.

NMMS Scholarship Last Date Extended

The application form for the NMMS Scholarship is now available at the National scholarship portal for the scholarship. A lot of applications are received every year for this scholarship. The last date to apply for this scholarship has now been extended by the official website till 31st January 2024. All interested applicants who want to apply under the scheme can visit the National scholarship portal to get themselves registered. The students will be rewarded with Rs. 12000 per annum after registering themselves under this scheme. The scholarship amount will directly be transferred into the bank account through the public financial management system by dbt mode.

Objective Of NMMS Scholarship

The main objective of the scholarship created by the Central Government is to motivate the students who are not able to get a good education because of their financial conditions. It will also help the students to get more studious and will help them to get tuitions without depending upon their family for the fees. The scholarship will help the students studying in the secondary and higher secondary level of education. It will also improve the rate of dropouts from the school after class 8th. The students will be able to gain further education after Class 9th And Class 12th. However, to get the benefit of the scholarship the students will have to take the selection test which will be conducted at the State level.

Incentive Of NMMS Scholarship

A lot of incentives will be provided for the beneficiaries of NMMS Scholarship:-

• Through the scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to the students every month.
• Around 1 lakh scholarships will be provided under NMMS Scholarship 2024
• 1000 rupees per month will be provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme.
• The scholarship amount will be paid by the State Bank of India in one go.
• The amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary bank account through the Public Financial Management System.
• The number of scholarships will be allotted to each state and the United territory on the basis of the number of students that have enrolled in classes 7th and 8th as per their population.
• The students of Class 9 will receive Rupees 12000 per annum.
• The scholarship can be renewed every year till the student completes his or her secondary level education that is Class 12.
• To get the scholarship, the candidates must get a promotion in each class.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria before applying for NMMS Scholarship:-

• He/ She must be currently studying in Class ninth.
• The applicant must have got a clear promotion from class 8.
• The applicant must have scored 55% or more in the last examination of Class 8th.
• He/ She must be pursuing education from a government or a government-aided school in the country.
• If you want to renew your scholarship in further years then you need to score at least 60% marks in your class 10th board exam.
• If you want to get a scholarship in class 12th then you must get clear promotion in class 11th for the first time itself.
• You must score at least 55% marks or above in class 11th class examination.
• If you belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category then you will get a relaxation of 5%
• The annual family income of the beneficiary must not be more than Rupees 1.5 lacs.
• The students who are studying in other private schools are not eligible for this scholarship

Selection Criteria For NMMS Scholarship

The applicant will have to go through the following selection criteria to get selected in the scholarship scheme presented by the Central Government:-

• The mental ability test will be conducted to examine the reasoning abilities and the critical thinking of the students.
• This test will have 90 multiple-choice questions.
• You will have to give answers to the questions related to the topics of analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures, etc.
• Another test will be conducted which is called the scholastic aptitude test.
• This test will also consist of 90 multiple-choice questions.
• The syllabus of SAT covers the subjects of science, social studies, and mathematics as per the syllabus of classes 7 and 8.
• The applicant must score at least 40% marks in each of the tests to get the scholarship.
• However, for the socially backward category students, the minimum eligibility criteria are to score at least 32% marks.
• Applicants must also have scored 55% marks in the final examination of class 8.
• In the SC/ST category students get a relaxation of 5% marks.
• The applicant must satisfy all of the eligibility criteria.

Application Procedure For NMMS Scholarship 2024

To apply for the scholarship, you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• First of all, you will have to go to the NMMS Website of the National Scholarship Portal.

• The homepage of the organization will open on your screen.
• You must keep all of the educational qualification certificates with you while you fill the application form.
• Now click on the option called New Registration.
• A new page will open on your screen.

• Read all of the instructions given on the webpage.
• Tick mark the declaration.
• Click on Continue
• You will need to click on the option called New Student? Register Here
• Enter all of the information.
• Upload the following documents-
  • Educational documents of student
  • Student’s Bank account number and IFSC code of the bank branch
  • Aadhaar number of the Student
  • If Aadhaar is not available, then a Bonafide student certificate from Institute / School and
  • Aadhaar Enrolment ID or Scanned copy of Bank passbook
  • If Institute/School is different from the domicile state of the applicant, then a bona fide student certificate from the Institute / School.
• Click on Register.
• Now user ID and password will be sent to you on your respective details.
• You have to log in using your credentials by clicking on the option called Login To Apply.
• Now you can easily apply for the scholarship.

Process To Check Class 8th NMMS Results 2024

The applicant needs to follow the steps below to check the result:-

• First of all, visit the official website of the Kerala National Cum Means Merit Scholarship Examination.
• The home page will open before you.
• Here you have to click on the option of Results.

• A new web page will open in front of you.
• On the page, you will see the NMMS 2021 Results section.
• Now you have to fill in the details such as

Check Application Status

Check Scheme Eligibility

• Select the domicile state, course level, religion, caste/community.
• Enter the parents annual income and select whether you are physically disabled or not.

Institute KYC Registration Form

• Enter the AISHE Code, Captcha Code present on the screen.

Track NSP Payment

• Enter the account number, application id and other details.

Know Your Payment

• Now from the homepage, click on the Know Your Payment option.
